You're right that social media sometimes portraits a false image. When I comment you and Gi's vlogs and instagram with "Family goals❤️" I know there are sleepless nights, poop places poop shouldn't be and bad days - you're honest about that too. Aswell as you are about the good times. When I think about the family I grew up in I don't remember hugs, kisses and laughter, but I want to fill my entire home with that when I get a family. That's what I see in your family. Love. So much so, that it spills on us looking in, and it reminds me that there is a different way to make a home than the way I was taught. So I stand by my comment. Thank you for letting us in! 💕

I work at a preschool and it's a common theme for kids that their first day is interesting to them and they're discovering everything while the parents are having a difficult time and the second day is better for the parents and then the third day is when the kids are not so sure about it anymore and kinda freaked out about it. Also, I promise that even though your kids might not seem like they want to go home at the end of the day and maybe sometimes don't pay you too much mind, there is ALWAYS going to be a time before you're there that they will ask about where you are and why you aren't there yet. And that we will love your kids nearly as much as you do, even if they're troublemakers.

I really appreciated this vid. I am a mum to a 19 month old. Social media makes being a parent look so glam that it makes you question whether you are normal or not. For instance, i don't often like having photo's, especially when my daughter was first born, due to many reasons, ie i hadn't been able to shower, i looked like a zombie due to lack of sleep, i had sick on me or i felt like a fat mummy. I just wish people were more honest on social media (but then i am guilty of it to, only putting happy, stress free pics on etc). But it would be nice to be more honest so we could all have a laugh and a joke about it. This is why i love yours and Gi's vids so much! Thank you for making me feel sane and knowing i'm not the only tired parent! Xxx

About "goals" and how we picture ourselves and how people see our social media... I agree with you that it is mostly just a (generally good) snapshot of our lives and doesn't mean it is the whole picture... But I also think it doesn't mean it is fake. I see your and Gi's photos and videos and I think your family is amazing. Poo and comfy clothes won't change my view, hahahaha... it just makes it all real. The not so good things are just part of being alive and not a TV advertisement... A band I like (cough cough) once said "I'm gonna keep what counts and throw away what doesn't really matter" and I think it sums up this whole thing. As you said, we capture the good parts, because that's what we want to take with us... independent of what other people will make of it... That's how I see this, anyway...

Goals, Life Goals, etc seem like a new or recent thing on social. I do see it a lot. I know what you mean about the photo album. My daughter, 5 years, was skating towards my other daughter, 9 yrs, and as a typical papa, my man was taking a video when our little one fell. She cried so much until we deleted the video! She is an awesome skater and has an image to protect!
