Honestly, taking inspiration from other movies or dramas for the storyline is fine but straight away recreating similar scenes can be considered copying, right? I don't find this drama original at all because every other scene reminds me of another drama that came way before this one. It's like I'm rewatching that drama as I am able to predict the next scene and it happens. Atleast if it was a remake I would have been happy to see the scenes coming out in this sequence, but it's not as the main story is different but the concept and scenes! They've outright copied everything. Atleast that's what I have noticed in episodes 1 and 2.

i dont understand why some people complaining about the actress not pretty. the actress fits the role just fine. meiru is not supposed to be a super pretty anyway (not that i think she's not pretty. she is) if she was super pretty (i'm borrowing your list: dilraba, zhao liying) the story wouldnt be this interesting. a prince falls in love with pretty lady is just a common story every child knows. but when a prince falls in love with ordinary small town girl, that's new! also, the nine dragon princess is the supposedly the beautiful girl in this drama, not meiru. so again, the actress fits meiru's character perfectly!
