My idol, which is my classmate, Chadwik, sung this today in choir. That kid is absolutely immaculate. Everyone crowded around him and he got the loudest standing ovation I've ever heard, it wasn't even a big group of people. He has the best singing voice I've ever heard in my life. It's so hard to describe how he is, not just his singing but him in general. I could try for days to describe him but I could never do it right. You would only understand if you've met him. But Chadwik, if you see this I really wanted to give you about 50 complements on your singing today so let me just say, that was some absolutely amazing singing, and if I had to I would gladly only listen to your singing for the rest of my life.

Man, this song gets me in my feels. I'm 21 and about to graduate college, but I vividly remember being 17 and extroverted, but so desperately scared to put myself out there. Unable to, even. I would try to make conversation and I'd choke from social anxiety and awkwardness, even though I could write paragraphs and paragraphs in my journals about what I wanted from a group of friends. Shyness at that age was almost like solitary confinement for me, I just couldn't escape my own fears. This song really captures that feeling. I just want people to know that it gets better! You become more confident with time, as you continue to face your fears and grow into yourself. You meet like-minded people with time. You will learn to enjoy being alone and also with people, depending on the context. You are NOT always going to be what you've always been

"we start with stars in our eyes we start believing that we belong but every sun doesn't rise and no one tells you where you went wrong" hits different when you're a neurodivergent kid who never had any friends in primary school, and now you're just starting to make them and you're paranoid that everything you say to them might make them hate you. i'm that kid. it's like my self awareness was at 10% up until year 5 and then it suddenly turned up to 110% so i'm just way too self critical

This is the most I’ve related to a song in a long time, especially the mental imagery of glass between me and others which feels very fitting for how I handle social interaction and my emotions in general. I can talk to people fine, but I can never be vulnerable and show the sides of myself that I suppress. I always felt like a stranger, no matter how many friends I supposedly had in my early childhood. It’s gotten worse nowadays, but this song helped me a little.

Tw: Abuse, bullying When i was 7 months, my biological dad came back and would abuse me. Cause of him i was always nervous of other people, mostly men cause i was scared all men were abusive. I was shy when i met my stepdad. I wasn't talkative at all i was only talkative around my mom and sister. Whenever my stepdad was around, i was quiet for a while with him then i was able to warm up to him. I showed early signs of autism according to my mom and people asked if i was autistic. Before i moved to my stepdad, i always wanted to stay at my grandparent's house. I was always the quiet or talkative kid, but i was unable to adjust. After my autism diagnosis, i became more shy and insecure. I'm scared i'll be bullied cause of my autism
