I have been abstinent for a year now. Today I took the vow to submit my body a living sacrifice Holy and acceptable to God. Today I said yes to building my relationship with God . I renew and love God more than I love myself. Thankyou Father God For Leading Me To This Podcast Today. I have been abstinence for about 4 years now but it took another painful disappointment in the man who I had an intimate relationship off and on for almost 30 years. I never took the time to listen to God and believe in my self worth as a "Queen " that should have been treated with the same love and respect that I was giving him as a "King" but I realized he was not worthy of that title because he didn't value my worth . God has been my strength to abstain and to surrender to him on this journey. I still struggle with my feelings because of the history that we had together and I still pray for him each and every day. Thankyou for this podcast because I know I am living my truth that I am glorifying God and that he has forgiven me for my past sins and is consistently reminding me that I am worthy to be loved and I know "God " loves me. Yall, look...I can't even work today! I am literally in tears over this episode. This has been soooo good to my soul, my God!!! I've been abstaining from sex since my divorce, which was 4 years ago, NOT because I made a vow to God to not have sex, but because no one has come along worthy of my time. It was almost like I was saying, if someone comes along that I liked, it was ok to have sex because I had not made a vow not to. The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 5:4 NIV: It is better not to make a vow than to make one and not fulfill it. Just last night, I flat out told God that I wanted to have sex with someone and I was tired of hearing about other people having sex, unmarried and "getting away with it" by repenting, not caring or whatever. Basically, if they can do it, I can too. Then this episode dropped last night and I've watched it this morning. What an on time God we serve!!! I am convicted, my thoughts are convicted, and I am also encouraged to continue on with this journey of self care, self love, etc., knowing that God hears our every prayer, thought, and has exactly what we need to make it a little further in this journey. Laterras, thank you so much for obeying God. This is not a popular subject and just being honest, people are going to do what they want to do because having sex is the way of the world, but there is a remnant of people (anyway) I'll leave it there... I am happy to say even though I've been abstaining, I made the VOW to God today, to wait until marriage and I won't take it back... I'm 21 seconds into viewing this podcast and I paused the video to type this. Something divine is happening here. About 11:30 I rewatched the episode Abstain to gain, which is the third time I'm watching it. The evening of the 29 which is two days ago, I watched it for the second time. I don't know what was happening, but it kept using up as the first video on KZbin when I open. So this morning when it showed up, I watched the entire episode. I finished about 12:13, and went into prayer, where I committed and made a vow to Jesus as it is the beginning of the last day of the year, and I am getting ready with total acceptance to begin whatever it is God has for me to do, Through submission to Him. After prayer for almost an hour, 11:59 , to be exact, I decided to return to KZbin before sleeping. Here I am seeing this New episode and the very topic of Vow of Abstinence. My Lord, this is Divine! God is working on me as well, I am convinced with this confirmation. The first time I came across this podcast it was Abstain to Gain which popped up. There is something Divine going on, and I am extremely eager to see what it will be. Father God have your divine way. Laterras, let the Lord speak and listen.

I recently started watching these podcasts and I went back and came across this one. Wow I'm almost 20 minutes in and this is good with good nuggets. Getting married to be happy and getting divorced to be happy. More churches need to teach on healthy single relationship preparation. From getting yourself right and knowing how to seek whole heartedly will cut down on divorce. So many people are marrying people based on looks and superficial things only and when tough situations arise, the men realize those thick thighs and other features can't help and women realize those 6 pack abs or other features can't help. I will continue to wait for THE man from God, not just a man!

Abstinence: not easy but well-worth it, at times it can even feel heartbreaking but God is just so good . The Lord is just such a wonderful friend . He will keep you and He will hold you up through it . Don’t rush into marriage brother ..: let the abstinence work a thing in you. There’s level to this . lol You’ll get to know yourself much better when you have to practice patience in the face of abstinence. Get up under and STAY up under God’s loving arms. He’s got you. I'm loving this show, just started listening to this channel, need to see more men doing this. I been divorce for 9 years was in a marriage that God didnt want to happen and I was hard headed didnt listen to God and no one else . It was terrible but I learned so much when I decided to turn to my Father. When I say a journey its been a journey but I'm happy and want to one day be married again I watch my parents stay married after 47 years my father passed then my mother passed 5 years after that. I always wanted a marriage like my parents so I have to wait and give myself to God entirely. Pray for me guys!!! My story is a book, learning how to live for God in my singleness.

I'm going to look for this pastor online. EVERYTHING he has said on this episode is so moving and inspiring! Everything he said was on point and really touched my heart. I absolutely agree with him about masturbation. It has been normalized to just be a part of life. The idea of a single woman having a drawer of toys to self-satisfy is being promoted as normal. Being obedient to God is the priority. JESUS ORBITS MY WORLD; I DON'T ORBIT HIS WORLD!!! The vow renewal was so beautiful! To God be the glory!! The worship portion was so beautiful. FIRST AND FOREMOST thank you for being a man and vowing abstinence. I have seen many videos and been to many single conferences and the responsibility of abstinence tend to fall more on the woman, and a lot of us are looked at as the gatekeeper to making sure sex don’t enter into the relationship. We are taught how to be a woman as young as a child, and a boy is able to “just be a boy” instead of taught the same values early on. Thank you for breaking the cycle.
