In Caine's defense, Gooseworx herself said he's not an outright villain, more an obstacle. He does care about the inhabitants of the circus (he doesn't force Zooble to participate in the adventures if she doesn't want to), he even goes as far as to try to build a way out for them, it's just that he has no idea how the human mind works. I don't think it's within his power to set them free or deabstract them. Plus, he is implied to comprehend the feeling of guilt, because he looked like he was having a flashback of a haunting memory when he explaning why the player couldn't bring outside NPCs back to the Circus. That bing said, he could've just given Gummigoo a jacket or something that said NPC on it!

My theory is that the circus was actually suppposed to be a digital place for therapy that used to help people like our protagonists (Gangle and Ragatha have poor self esteem, Jax has some superiority/inferiority,Pomni has serious anxiety problems ecc.ecc) and two AIs used to rule it. Since the series is based on "I have no mouth and i must scream" and there were other two supercomputers like AM i like to think thst bubble is the other AI with his memories cancelled, because his name sounds like Abbel. Cain(e) and Abbel.

Gumigoo could not be so easily deleted from the TADC, as Ragatha said that Kane could recreate past NPCS from time to time, while both of them had such an important heart-to-heart conversation for the plot that reveals the characters, in particular Pomni, as well as to some extent Gumigoo, who realized that the NPC was just an obstacle that was created to be defeated and forgotten, but for our gummy crocodile it's not like that, I'm sure of it. Caine states that the AI he’s using this time around would be more immersive. The NPCs are, despite everything we’ve seen, just that: NPCs. Not real people whatsoever. Killing or harming them doesn’t have any actual consequences (excluding psychological harm that could come about should someone get attached to one. i.e. Pomni) Jax is simply coping with his situation in his own way. That being act like an asswipe, don’t get close to anyone, and make the most of a shit situation.

I think the reason why Caine tries so hard to preoccupie everyone's time is because he thinks that will help keep their mind away from going over the breaking point. We see in Kaufmo's room that before abstraction he became fixated on finding the exit, and we learn from others that he wasn't exactly the best clown and likely was a bit of an outcast among the others. That was partially why his mind became unstable which led to an abstraction, and Caine said specifically that he has no control over human mind, not to mention, as as an C.reative A.rtificial I.ntelligence N.etworking E.ntity he can't feel, understand or control emotions, meaning that he literally can't control reverse abstraction. Besides, Gooseworks stated that Caine, as evil as he may seem, is mostly oblivious that outright malicious. As she said "there is a whole spectrum of human emotion that he just doesn't feel."[4]. But of course, why do I write this under an week old video you likely won't check at all

Makes sense really why he does adventures, when you think too much on it… your mend tends to crack more. Caine is genuine with his work, trying to keep them entertained, he isn’t like AM from “I Have No Mouth, but I must Scream.” He genuinely has no understanding of humans. He is a self-aware-ish ai. Abstraction is equal to existential crisis/psychosis, basically their minds giving up. Since the virtual body is more connected to the mind, the damage is far worse. Like one comment or said, he may been designed to be a therapy system, but there may been flaws such as memory of your face and name. Zooble is actually the worse of it. They cannot remember their own name and gender, making them non-binary not by choice. Kinger, being the oldest yet not abstract, may come from the fact his mind forgets and replaces like memory issues to help control it. Easier to forgot the madness of being trapped if you can’t remember it. Sometimes, the human mind can’t handle the truth, but this is my theory.

Well, The Amazing Digital Circus is now a full, ongoing series. Doesn't Candy Canyon Kingdom kind of looks like Candy Kingdom from Adventure Time? Same goes for the Fudge creature, not only it looked like the creature from Raggedy Ann movie, it also kind of looked like the Great Mighty Poo from Conker's Bad Fur Day. Lizzie Freeman, who voiced Pomni in the series, is the same actress who used to voiced Meggy in the SMG4 series and Sunset Paradise series. They really just killed off the most developed and poor character in the series all in a single episode with no guilt. And giving Pomni's one redeeming friend and sanity another mental breakdown. Interesting how Caine said in the beginning he's trying a new AI. It was apparently too good I guess. Could've marked them or make all NPCs wear a matching piece of cloth if keeping track would usually be a problem. Besides he IS an AI, he knows everything so knowing who is and isn't an NPC would be as simple as knowing about them or scanning, or just trying to mess with something you normally can't.
