Yes smartwatches are a scam. Why? 1. You really don't need to make calls with a watch. It is very uncomfortable and it anyway needs the mobile close by. 2. Fitness is a huge scam....amazfit is fine and the higher end Garmin is all good. However, the Boat xtend pro doesn't even let you select duration or time of workouts. The Fire boult Bell doesn't even count skipping jumps. 3. And to check the time people use smartphones. A simple analog watch will do. 4. The fitness reports on heart rate etc are untrustworthy. A smartwatch is still a gimmick. Also the app that manages the watch on the mobile is poorly designed. So better to get a high end brand or maybe AmazFit which is okay for the price.

I use an apple watch series 6 and it's been flawless 2 years with this beautiful piece of tech. I cannot imagine my day without this watch now. It's not you definitely need this but ya once u use this watch there is no going back. Apple eco system is cherry on the cake, unlocks my mac and my iPhone with the mask on. Great fitness tracker and a map on the wrist. Quickly browse through songs and great health features like SPo2, heart rate graphs and ECG. It alerts me when i sit and work for too long and advices for a small walk. I usually face high heart rates and this recognises that and tells me that also that i have high idle heart rate. It's my favourite tech so far

Well said. I always wondered whether are these fitness tracking is really useful. Why would somebody need to keep monitoring their heart beat rate all the time as if you are on a ICU bead. I feel these hardwares are useless most of the time and I doubt people rely on its accuracy. They occupy space and battery. I wish some brand will come out without these health trackers and just simple features like clock, calculator, financial apps, todo app, reminders, notes, recorders, google maps with gps, notifications, 2FA, etc that would really help people like me to reduce dependency on the phone while you are walking, driving, or any physical activity.

Due to the current smartwatch market I'm finding it difficult to upgrade from my mi band 4. The closest and cheapest replacement I found with amoled display, accurate sensors, smooth UI, good app, etc was gts 2 mini which costs 5k(in sale). Other options I found were bip u pro(outdated design and no amoled) and dizo watch pro(same a realme watch 2 pro, also without amoled). Idk what to do

Well said brother, I am looking for a good smartwatch and ready to spend 15k but can't find many options. The features most of the smartwatches are providing are not practical in day to day life use. After so much of r&d for true smartwatch I've found apple watch is good and if your budget is around 15k then in my view Honor watch gs 3, galaxy watch 4 and honor magic watch 2 is up to the mark and fulfill the daily requirements of a smartwatch.

Using amazfit gts2e and I'm ok with this reputed brand and guys never ever buy a cheap smartwatch. If you can afford go for better one or else drop the plan and buy a good analog watch for 2-3k, smartwatches gets good when you spend above 10k.

Yes , I agree your every point. Indian brand like Boat , Firebolt, Pabble , Noise , ptron , they don't spend for R&D they just know how to marketing a product with celebrity faces . Every Indian fitness band have it's own at least one celebrity for their chip marking campaigns . But those brand who really work hard for fitness like Apple, fitbit, amazfit, Xiaomi mi bands, OnePlus, oppo & Realme(Dizo) they don't achieve their position due to those chip brands.

bro, I was literally feeling need of video on this topic because log washroom jake ate h itni der me nayi smartwatch launch ho jati h, just think about it they are features Bollywood starts and Indian cricket team players for ads and they are selling watches from 1500 to 2000, how they can even provide actually good products. => if you think they are indian brands and we should support them then bhai sirf marketing see brand nhi bante marketing se koi first product kharid to lega pr second k liye nhi jayega, i bought a Bluetooth speaker from BoAt and i believed that it was good bcz of marketing but m facing a lot of issues with it and i barely use it. => so conclusion is that we cant't build world class brand with marketing if you think we should support indian brands then we have to send a strong message that we need actual good products.

To be honest, these brands have thrived because of a big mistake from actually reputed brands. We know that making a good smartwatch costs max 1000, but the good brands sell them for 3-4000. If they release watches for 1-2000 price, then cheap watches will not even survive. You would have noticed, these cheap brands play at only those price brackets, where big brands are not present. Because, if they try to compete with Amazfit, they know they are going to be demolished by Amazfit's Saga.

It's exactly how the chinese companies grew though. For many years, Xiaomi, Realme were literally pouring most of their money into marketing, branding without doing any R&D. Companies like Apple, samsung, sony did the R&D for them. And after spending big sums in R&D, they used to cut costs by exporting their manufacturing process to china. Then the same cheap chinese factories would pass on their designs to the chinese companies.

Personally speaking, i have honor band 5, used it for tracking but one can't use it without the app. And the app huawei health seems so sketchy to me.. it need all the permissions and constantly asks for it. Battery and tracking was accurate but I was not comfortable with sharing each and every detail of mine to a Chinese company. So i bought the new Colorfit ultra 2 le just for fitness. I just wear it on ocassion or when i am working out. Tracking is a little off but atleast my location and everything isn't going to China(i hope i am right and noise has data servers in India and are encrypted).

Does Noise let you set duration, or time, or target calories and also does it count jumps for example? Boat xtend pro marketed as a 700 active sports mode watch does not let you do that! Also they have fancy preset workouts which cannot be customised in their crap app. And it gives alerts like 6KM complete for a badminton game 🤪

I hope you know Alot of smartwatches brand don't actually manufacture these watches. Boat, Noise, firebolt doesn't manufacture their own watches but infact source them from 3rd party Chinese manufacturers and rebrand them, add company specific changes.

Amazfit, and hence huami(now zepp), do the rnd, desiGning and manufacturing of their own watches in their own expense and provide the complete software and hardware experience. But almost all of the Indian brands just rebrand generic chinese smartwatches from alibaba and sell them at much higher rates with their badge slapped on, and maybe even a crappy app in some occassions.

Well, I have been using Galaxy Watch 4 for the last 1 year and I can say that I have all the features, options, sensors. Overall I am just more than satisfied with Samsung galaxy watch 4.

Great work, but even expensive watches are not great which is sad. I am having Fitbit, Active 2, Watch 4, Apple 7 and Garmin. Battery is an issue in every watch plus charging them is also an issue big issue. Accuracy Naahh sometimes heart rate is 120 sometimes 150 sometimes gps messed up too especially on watch 4 Garmin and fitbit are supper accurate in terms of heart rates and GPS but still below 90. While taking shower all watches raise my heart rate up sometimes 170 but I won't feel but when I climbing stairs and if my heart rate is 140 I clearly feel bits of my heart. Polar strap is accurate and I had one almost 3 years old but still it gives very much Accuracy in compare to latest tech watches. I have hugh expectation from samsung and apple but still I guess it will take 3 4 more years to give life changing results..

Not to mention bp measure and ecg on watch 4 and apple is also crape I end up in hospital 3 times due to false reports on watch.

Oxygen measure is I found accurate by 95% with apple and 90% with watch 4 if your wrist and watch size is perfect but still at night while sleeping it gives wrong measurements and sometimes it goes till 70 spo2 do you believe this. Few days ago when I woke up I saw my Oxygen level drops till 72 for more then 2 hours I might dead but still I am writing this comments by god grace.

Yes, that's true, but that's what you will get in the lower price segment, and Indian market needs it, because not everyone in India is willing to spend more than 10k under a smartwatch, but yes, everyone has a wish to buy one, so these Indian brands are helping people by bringing lower budget smartwatches, so that everyone can afford it, the accuracy might not be very good or excellent, but it serves the purpose for sure, because expensive to expensive watches also make glitches and big problems sometimes, and you can't expect that when you buy a smartwatch for more than 20k above, but it happens, for example luxury brands like Mercedes, BMW, Audi, etc. are offering you the best luxury that a car can have, but can everyone afford it??, Of course not, in fact majority of Indian buyers can't, so won't they fulfil their dream of having a good car?, Obviously not, and this is possible because of the mid range segment cars like Maruti, Hyundai, Mahindra, etc. as they are trying to offer you great features with a lower pricing, though not of that high level like that of the premium luxury brands, still it serves the purpose, and make people fulfil their dream of having a good and feature filled car. Hence, it's absolutely right that Premium Brands will give you excellent and premium quality features, but it will come at a cost that everyone is not opting to spend, so Lower and budget friendly products are extremely important, especially for a country where more than 85-90% people belongs to middle class...

itna bada paragraph likha without getting the point of the video, indian brands arent helping anyone these cheap knockoffs are readily available on aliexpress, the point of the videois to spend some money on R&D (research and development) instead of hiring a big celebrity for marketing a chinese watch with just their brand name on it which doesnt give any significant purpose, which can be easily fulfilled with well R&D spent on UI and things instead of marketting and your point about cars also doesnt make sense at all, indian cars are made in india, and perform the function they are advertised to have, unlike these watch brands which have a low quality bpm meter and super laggy UI and just a stopwatch in the name of sports mode.
