This is why when Nicki came out when I was in highschool, I never EVER jumped on the bandwagon. I saw the anti black woman behavior in her when she was treating Lil Kim and the women who came before the way she was. How the turns have tabled. She is now the irrelevant former rap “queen” she used to taunt in 2008/09. Difference is, the new girls actually still respect and revere the former rap queens like Kim, Queen Latifah, Lauryn Hill, etc and will work with them. At this point, not only do the new girlies no longer respect her they don’t even LIKE her. She is going to be sitting sad and alone while her male peers look out for each other’s best interests (as male rappers tend to do) the former generation of female rappers that she looked down on hang out with each other and the new generation of female rappers continue to surpass her. Watching Nicki Minaj build her own island of bitterness and vitriol is the SADDEST fall from grace I have EVER seen. The unfortunate thing is she’s never going to get better unless she cuts off all of these toxic people that she’s chosen to surround herself with who do nothing but blow smoke up her ass and validate her bad behavior. She’s going to continue spiraling in this mid-life crisis surrounded by the lowest of the low because you can’t heal or grow in a stunted/toxic environment
