Roboccon totally brings back my childhood memory. I've just known that this show was released in 1974, while I first watched it in 2002. I hope this channel keep updating Ganbare Roboccon series because I really miss it 😭

Great news, all 118 episodes from the 1970s are on Amazon for streaming now. Type in "がんばれ！！ロボコン amazon", and it should be the first result. You might need to right-click and Google Translate things, and the currency is in Yen. Me, I watched it in early 1998 from bootleg VHS tapes, after I turned 8 years old.

I never watched this show but I did have several of the thick paged, in color books that my mother would regularly buy for me at the Aloha Stadium swapmeet when my family was stationed at the air force base in Hawaii back in the early 80s! I have found out that this type of show is called "tokusatsu" and the books that I remember best are "Robocon", "Barom One" and "Yusha Reideen".
