The important thing is that she doesn't fall for it, nor do any of us fall for it. I've had times when I've looked at truly gorgeous, talented, accomplished, unambiguously black women knowing that there are black men (AND women) who'd look at her as unattractive and worthless based on her skin tone -- and I've thought, "That is insane. It makes no sense." Don't fall for the opinions of sick, insecure, mal-adjusted, self-hating people. And don't associate with them.

He was not the only one that remember the common name was talking about the child air the whole album apologize for what he said when he said what was said and record it it’s done just like this and you can’t take it back let it go. I remember being in high school when Blue Ivy was born. I was in the process of going natural and all the sh*t the ADULTS in my life had to say about Blue Ivy was so disturbing and discouraging. I remember being so upset about it and even calling my MOM out about it. He handled this poorly, point blank period. Was the outrage and criticism genuine? Maybe not. A lot of the people calling him out were probably the same people talking sh*t along with him but wrong is wrong. The way Blue’s hair looks now being longer and a bit looser and more palatable is definitely why people are giving her praise for it now. As someone with 4c hair, I wear it stretched and braided out because people respond to my hair so much better that way. It’s frustrating but it’s what we have to deal with. Beyoncé won’t respond but I’m sure she’s taking notes. Shoot the reason we’ve been getting all this problack music from her over all these years lately is probably because of Blue and the backlash.

He is the one who used a secret account and secretly brought up his old tweets right after sampling Beyonce crazy in love. This is all intentional. Just like he had latto create controversy surrounding mariah when she sampled fantasy and released big energy. They both👩🏿‍🤝‍👩🏼 think it's cool doing this to other artists because they both are constantly looking for a way to the top. They try to leech on to other artists. They want to take their shine. They both got a long history of doing stuff like this. Latto did this with Kodak too. It's all staged to get more streams and it always happen right before or after releasing new music. I understand your inquiry about the PR teams involvement, but the truth is the LABELS don’t care. They recognize that a problematic artist IS a interest generating artist. They allow the artist to hang themselves because THEY know cancel culture doesn’t exist and even negative press is good press. All the new girls lack media training, but it’s NOT because they don’t have access to it. It’s because the labels know a colorist, featurist, xenophobic artist is going to garner attention because they are always in some shit. Attention= Revenue for labels, more often than not.

That's why I've learned to keep my expectations low when it comes to "my own" people. Except I don't even consider the "community" a community because it's too dysfunctional, self-hating, hypocritical, and toxic to be a real community. So, my community is a blended group of folks who I've never known to express such thoughts. Meanwhile, my affinity with other black folks gets weaker and weaker. I love being a black woman, and I don't want to be anything else. But the "community" is too poisonous. So, I'm just doing me, and if anyone is bigoted against black folks, I'll check them. And I will positively represent black women in whatever I produce/do. But I'm too tired for anything more. He's an example of how even some men who know what it feels like to be discriminated against (i.e., gay men) can still have the same mindset as misogynist cis-gendered straight black men.

I don’t know Justin’s background education-wise, but he would make a DYNAMITE Sociologist. Few people give conscious thought to how what seems like different types of oppression are actually interrelated.

I agree! Blue Ivy has ALWAYS BEEN BEAUTIFUL! These adult bullies are the same ones who would be ready to fight if someone was talking about their children. Santana gets it he just doesn’t care. Some people don’t realize until the lose. It’s the BLACK culture that allows a lifestyle that he is trying to obtain and when he compared Blue to North he was comparing all black girls with mixed girls. I will not support him until he apologizes. It is what it is.
