But seriously though, this band ROCKS! He does sound alot like Matthew and that drummer kind of sounds like Dominique, but after a while they actually sound entirely different when your mind already knows that they that are a different band. I found that after carefully listening to them, they don't even have the same signature 'electronic sound' that Muse have, you know? So it's not like they're are trying to be like them.

This band now goes by the name of " Dear Sherlock". However, I don't think they re-released this song. They did re-release "Supernova" but it doesn't sound the same. Kind of wish this song was on Spotify.

Yeah, I downloaded like three songs from them thinking it was from Muse's new album. Ugh. I felt like an idiot when I heard my sister singing to an entirely different Guiding Light song than me. haha and I would have felt like a bigger idiot during their upcoming concert in two weeks haha

@chebaka4 nvm the last comment,i thought of a few songs this sounds like. Ashamed, Hyper Music by MUSE and Heartbreaker by Led Zeppelin for the intro. They do a kind of Butterflies and Hurricanes thing between the intro and the next strain (before it gets calm).The riff that's between the b&h thing and the first calm part sounds like A7X. It's a common riff, they weren't the first ones to play it. Then its a lot of chords which isn't anything new.

you know wat? in thinkin about 5 years, when these guys get really good, theirs gonna be that muse/radiohead thing all over again, except it will be people saying reckless are a muse tribute band. i wud put money on that. reckless are a very good band though im expecting them to get somewere.

i agree, they do sound a lot like MUSE (my favorite band in the world) but i wouldnt say they are copying. i understand that everybody use to compsre MUSE to Radiohead and that sucked so i dont hold anything against Reckless, i actually like them :) they remind me of the MUSE i use to know and somewhat miss. but as i've seen from Radiohead and MUSE, Reckless may sound similar but eventually, they will find their own distinct sound and i look forward to it.

@Misishaxi Yes, but jus cause ppl compare bands with each other, that doesn't mean it's a bad thing. It's music & all bands have been inspired/influence from others. It's been going on since music started &that's actually not uncommon as more fans from diff. generation are introduced to bands How many great bands have people compared to in the past, like modern bands such as Incubus w/ She Wants Revenge. Or Portishead w/ Massive Attack.

eventually they'l branch out and develop a much more distinctive style, just like showbiz was constantly compared to radiohead, which is admittedly similar in places so its just a case of evolving as a band, but the recording is good quality and song well written so why complain about a band thats been inspired by one of the most unique bands on the planet, surely that means muse are doing it right, getting people into music.

i think they;'re really good. They'll eventually get their own style, so i dont think we need to worry about the ressemblance with Muse. But if i was Matthew Bellamy or Dom or Chris, I would feel kinda pissed (well maybe thats just cuz i'm kinda possessive) cuz they are getting credit for copying u'r style. But you know, Muse started (apparently) by sounding like Radiohead, so Reckless has every right to sound like a group before getting their own style.

Muse does write their own music. Matt Bellamy writes the music and lyrics for all of Muse's songs. Don't make stupid claims because you've got a bias. Its fact, they sound a lot like Muse. Yeah you can tell they've been influenced by them but I think they need to try to be a little more original

it's not a copy of Muse, they use the same tipe of music. As muse use the same tipe of music of Radiohead ( but faster) and before of Muse I'm sure that there were lot of bands with similar music. But Muse, I'ts big, famous, so we atributte this genre to Muse

I don't think reckless is a rip off... Yes they are influenced by them (specialy in the vocals, but I think he might just need some time to learn to sing in falsetto with his own style). Besides that, I can only see great riffs and really good music, it is influenced, but don't forget Matt was influenced by classic composers in most of this piano pieces. I don't see anyone saying that it was a rip off.

@SyncSuite Radiohead are an awesome band but I don't understand why everyone compares so many other artists to them. Reckless and Muse sound near nothing like them. Radiohead is alot softer than this and the vocal style is distinctly different. The fact that the vocalists use vibrato and falsetto often doesn't make them a clone either. Radiohead doesn't own that style.

It does sound like he's trying a little bit TOO hard to be Matt Bellamy which lets him down a bit - and if hes not trying hard, then hes straining himself in some way... if the guy let it be more natural it would flow much better - but its pretty damn good!
