Dearly Beloved 2023【Re-Imagining】

"Dearly Beloved" is a piece of music that holds a special place in my heart. It comes from a franchise and composer that defined a significant part of my childhood. When I first heard it played by an orchestra, I fell in love with it. I can still vividly remember the stark white start screen of the first Kingdom Hearts game, with Sora holding a stick, the waves crashing at his feet, and the melancholic tune accompanying it all. That first Kingdom Hearts game was nothing short of magical for me at the age of nine.
Recently, I came back to revisit this song, hoping to re-create my own version of it. I had been struggling with a creative block, and my initial interpretation from years ago no longer satisfied me. However, re-making it wasn't creatively fulfilling either. So, I started from scratch and created a completely new version. As the weeks went on, the project kept growing, with so many different versions scrapped and rewritten.
Normally, I'm not a perfectionist. I often leave my mistakes in and create on a whim. But with "Dearly Beloved," I wanted it to be special. I wanted to celebrate one of my favorite composers and make something to say thank you to all who have listened to my music.
