DEATH BATTLE Prediction/Thoughts: Goku VS Superman 3

Dragon Ball VS DC. The first threequel we've ever gotten. Could this be fun? Absolutely. Am I thrilled? Not really. But imma stay optimistic cause that's the best I can do.
I might not even read the comments on this one. This just isn't something I'm particularly interested in socializing about.
(Found out later that there will be a big emphasis on Super Dragon Ball Heroes and Infinite Frontier, supposedly. Most of my big picture, general thoughts remain the same though.)

I've heard this next match will be a modern remake of the fight, and Ben Singer posted a tweet saying that they'll be compositing Dragon Ball Heroes for Goku and Infinite Frontier for Superman. Note: I would mention that both GVS 1 & 2 were updated on the Death Battle Channel in both titles and description saying they were outdated and inaccurate. So, despite what they said back then, Ben Singer is open on doing a Re-analysis on the matchup, hopefully to fix the missteps they had in both of their previous episodes they did with these too.

Fun fact about supes. At one point lex took control of his body from the inside and had him move without restraining his strength and mere steps alone were felt across the entire dc multiverse. This was before the warworld amp. His stats as of now are significantly higher than ever before. But I have no faith in them to do my boy justice.

@@void.w1zard Both G1 and IDW Megatron have no problem with fighting their enemies who are faster in flight and movement for example G1 Starscream, Jetfire, Sixshot and others. They are massively faster than light in jet and car. While Frieza in DBZ has flew across Namek for few minutes. DBS Frieza struggles a lot more than IDW Megatron does. Yet again Frieza’s weaknesses are remarkable meaning that he is so narcissist and sensitive hearing to loud noises. Don’t get me wrong Frieza is massively faster than light while looking back at G1 and IDW Megatron, he has no problem with speed. Most of all Frieza only faster in flight and movement. G1/IDW Megatron since both of those were mixed in the battle then that’s a instant victory to Megatron. That fight was inaccurate because G1/IDW Megatron didn’t use all of his powers/abilities to kill Frieza so Frieza’s gets triggered and gets instantly injured by the Anti Matter which would’ve been a instant victory. One notable thing about the Anti Matter isn’t like the Hakai. The Hakai is a destruction energy that causes the person to be erased. The Anti Matter is much more than anything that the Hakai can do. The Anti Matter negates durability and slaughters anyone. Also The Anti Matter doesn’t care about your willpower or anything else you’re capable of doing.

I think the reason why they're redoing it again, is cuz of what they've said in certain episodes of DEATH BATTLE Cast, which is the original Goku vs Superman episodes are outdated, which I take it as em saying that they no longer see any of the things that was said n done in those episodes as valid, it's kinda like what they've done with Mario vs Sonic, or Link vs Cloud, when they no longer saw the original episodes as valid, they chose to revisit the vs debate to see what could be changed n what could remain the same.

One thing I really want to see from this episode is a scene where Wiz and Boomstick take a moment to look back on their past episodes, and reflect on the past and how far they’ve come since 2015, cause this fight is kinda nostalgic in a way to me I was not into Dragon Ball or Detective Comics back then when Goku VS Superman first came out, heck, the first Death Battle I ever watched was Terminator VS Robocop, but I remember finally sitting down and watching them both back to back, I remember going into it and thinking “alright, let’s see what all the hype is about” and then coming out of it and being like “…Holy Sh*t 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯” And I think we can all agree that Death Battle have gotten way better at analysing characters than they were before, sometimes I wonder if they made Goku VS Superman way too soon, but I will enjoy this episode regardless of what happens, cause I can already tell this episode is going to be insane no matter what happens, it’s freaking Goku and Superman, plus this whole season so far has been jam-packed with awesome fights, Death Battle has peaked this season and I see no reason why it would stop now Also, this is not the season finale, that’s the next episode, Goku VS Superman is the penultimate episode, so what could possibly top this? I predict one of the popular Jojo VS Persona fights (Joker VS Giorno or Kira VS Adachi) as the finale

Just like Rick Vs Doctor, shocking this happened sooner than later. Happy the meme fight is finally here as this fight was gonna happen since more media is put. I mean, it's the fight that made Death Battle what it is today. I hope it's a sequel to end the trilogy saga of these two classic heroes, but yeah Superman gonna triumph. Great honest argument video as this fight will be a cool fight depending on how they execute the fight. Question: What’s a episode you enjoy but you throw in the towel before the release? Mine was Gray vs Esdeath as that fight could have gone either way and depended on how speed and power were shown. At least GVS 3 will not be the 200th episode as it comes near.

Superman once absorbed an entire universe, so his absorption abilities are beyond what you think. Superman's power can easily scale to multiversal to outer and even greater. As you said, the cosmology matters here, DC's cosmology is beyond db's cosmology and it's not even close. Even without them saying "infinite power", which really just says what he's capable of, Superman still wins.

But if we go with what you're saying then Goku still has a good chance of beating Superman in power. At the time that he helped defeat Demigra he was a Super Saiyan 3, and ever since then he has become strong enough that he can match the power of Vegito blue with his own SSB, So it's safe to say a current base Goku can beat his past Super Saiyan 3 self who could like Superman exude an infinite amount of power. I feel like the only way for this episode to go well is if the result of the battle was actually different. Like either a draw or changing it up and giving Goku the win, despite the fact that realistically Superman should win. Cause if they make Superman win a third time, it would cause both goku stans rage and normal viewers to just go “okay this was kind of a waste of an episode, but at least the animation was nice”. I honestly did not expect that they were going to make a Part 3 of both characters since we all know their strengths and feats. And of course, to be fair Superman would still have the upper hand against Goku even though he has Ultra Instinct. However, I'm not quite sure which version of Goku they will use since both the manga and anime are quite different. If they brought back Goku they should've at least have him Fight against Sonic the Hedgehog. Both Sonic and Dragon Ball have so many similarities to characters and personalities.

Honestly, I quite paranoid about the outcome of the episode. Because I want Superman to win, because a lot of absurd DC feats have already appeared on Death Battle, like Flash having incalculable speed, characters taking on cosmic beings capable of destroying multiverses that are 100 trillion light-years in size, etc. Sure, they are giving Goku Dragon Ball Heroes feats, meaning he would get the feat of destroying an infinite universe, and probably (possibly) infinite speed. They are also giving Superman Infinite Frontier feats, which are connected to the original DC comics. Superman realistically has infinite/incalculable speed, via scaling to the Flash, and infinite strength as he lifted a cosmic book with infinite pages, though Shazam was ‘helping’ him, but infinite cannot be divided. But if they don’t use the maximum feats of both combatants, because it will just cause unbelievable controversy on both sides. But if you think about, the Dragon Ball community is very scary as they believe Dragon Ball is the strongest series in the world, thinking that an DB characters would sweep an other series with ease, and ranting about how the DB should’ve won when they lose. I can see why they would want to do a 3rd Round of these 2. In the 1st Round, that was when GT Goku was the Peak and since everyone kept pitting these two together in Debates, it was there way of settling it with all their feats from all their sources. The 2nd one didn't really add any new analysis to the fight. No new stats for Super Sayian Blue, just a discussion on Goku and Superman's origins. And most importantly that was at the beginning of Super Now that Super is finished and the Manga is adding new things for Goku. Some fans have debated that UT could be enough to stop Supes. But then again, we all know Superman still washes Goku. I see WHY DB wants a 3rd round just so they can really update their 2nd Round, but we know it's pointless to change the outcome of the fight

So, I think im choosing to expect a fresh take / something new an interesting to say on the matter. I'm a bit concerned overall, though. Superman vs Goku 2 they dug their heels in and said "Goku getting stronger ultimately doesn't matter. At their core, the characters themselves are "He who breaks through his limits" vs "He who has no limits". Personally, I loved their original take. As a Goku fan, I love seeing Goku overcome bigger and bigger challanges. As a Superman Fan, I really respected DB for portraying Superman as more than just "Big Guy The Punches Hard, also Laser Eyes". I'm terrifyingly interested in seeing how this plays out. For them to bring this back out a third time there are only 3 possibilities No for real though. Superman has no limits. (again...) Oh, ok Goku has Ultra Instinct!? NOW he wins. They have something new to say. I've heard they may break it down with Heroes Goku vs a specific superman, but i mean that's like Ok, DBH Goku, who has more power than any other version of Goku vs Smallville Superman that one episode he had Purple Kryptonite and turned into a frog. It's kinda a dick move to the superman fans just to give goku fans a hollow victory. I was interested in your idea of even if you traditionally compare their feets, 1x1 and still give it to superman, it would (probably not) be the final nail in the debate. Personally, I loved their interpretation the last two times, I hope to understand why they think a third round is worth doing.

The only reason I have hope in my heart at Goku pulling a win is the ending of their 2nd fight. They made it clear Goku stood no chance, yet here they are, "remastering" the match-up. Dragon Ball characters are always getting knocked through mountains and getting back up I doubt Superman would have that level of durability he has no martial arts prowess and would get clapped buy Goku someone who has been practicing since basically birth.
