Is no one going to talk about how honorable and depressing this Death Battle was? There was no humor, no witty banter and no one-liners. Just two combatants with tragic pasts who know they have no choice but to fight to the death in order to survive and if one of them has to die, they'll do with honor. At least one of them will be reunited with their family in the afterlife.

At the end of the battle, MM and Surfer both realized they have no reason to fight each other and are simply made to by Death Battle. MM decided to sacrifice himself rather than continue, and Surfer is left with the burden of winning.

If you were confused with the direction the fight took, it's kind of like a metacommentary of the concept of Death Battle as a whole. From things like the beginning where Martian Manhunter asks why he's been brought here, and how at the end they both know how by the rules of the show, one of them has to die. And neither know why that is, so that's why at the end Silver Surfer has that whole speech at the end and why he kneels down remorseful at the end. Hope that clears it up. Great reaction by the way.

I don't comment much on your videos, but I wanted to say a couple things. 1. This episode is one of few that's made me tear up with the ending. Just comes to show that the folks behind the scripts know how to make such a poetic ending work well. 2. I honestly had no idea that you watch VTubers, that's pretty based! Funny thing is I'm in another Death Battle server and the idea of VTubers being on Death Battle has actually been brought up a few times, with matchups like Gawr Gura Vs King Shark, Mori Calliope Vs The Undertaker, and Hatsune Miku Vs Kizuna AI to name a few. 3. You like VTubers, your friend called AmaLee mommy, and you experienced scuff? I swear, one of these days you'll suddenly announce that you're becoming a VTuber and I wouldn't be too surprised and actually be hyped for it!

It's one of the reasons Silver Surfer comics are always so dull. There's few bad guys even in the Marvel universe that touch him that he couldn't figure out a way to defeat. He literally had a match of strength against Loki, has blasted holes in Galactus's world ship, and has defeated hell-ish space demons that threaten reality. He's just that guy. He and Superman are some of my favorite characters...and they're so boring half of the time that their best comics are always ones that show off their humanity.

Let me just say there is a character that Silver Surfer fought and is comparable to MM's fight with Perpetua and im surprised the episode didn't go into it. That character is Knull, the king in black. The Surfer was able to hold his own and Knull has killed Celestials and puppeted them with his primordial symbiotes

Why is this 2 betting on characters they don't know about. Death Battle always wank characters or downplay them. They often consider outliers as consistent facts. Sample is Superman needing WW and MM help moving Earth, if you need help moving a planet the size of earth, how can you beat a being who endangers a universe by just pinching each other.
