This movie is such a underrated classic. The acting is phenomenal by everyone involved , not just Willis Streep and Hawn , which goes without saying. The effects were groundbreaking ,the script was so well written and totally original . One of my all time favorites that is endlessly rewatchable.

I SWEAR this is true. in 1994 at 13, when my mother had her 2nd heart attack, they took me from my friend Brandis's house directly to the hospital. When I walked in the room, she looked at me, with a tube up her nose and said "Are YOU kidding me right now?" I responded "WHAT!?!" I was wearing a Death Becomes Her shirt with a faux hole in the front and a corrisponding one on the back. The nurse couldn't take it, she had to leave the room. Brandis brings it up to this day. And for the 1,000,000,000th time... I DID NOT DO IT ON PURPOSE!

"Death Becomes Her" has the feel of an extended episode of "Tales from the Crypt", mainly because DBH was originally meant to be the 1st TftC film(Demon Knight is technically supposed to be the 3rd film). The theme is still in the trailer, well known actors playing against type, morbid mean spirited humor&the good old fashion EC comics style comeuppance at the end. Plus the effects techniques used in DBH made the effects of Jurassic Park possible.

@@Alexvander10 i liked the film before I found the TftC connection, but ended up loving it after finding out. Everything about "Death Becomes Her" made way more sense after rewatching it with that knowledge. The Frighteners and From Dusk till Dawn were also meant to be tales from the crypt movies but became their own thing. If Demon Knight had those 3 films surrounding it, the TftC films would have been looked at more favorably. The Frighteners definitely could've benefited from a Crypt keeper intro, critics would've looked at differently if TftC was in mind while watching.

Always been obsessed with this movie since 1992. It was cut to bits by Zemeckis... fantastic bits, but there was so much more to this film. I'm longing to see the 30 + deleted scenes. Adam Storke Matt Frewer Nancy Fish Jonathan Silverman Tracey Ullman All were completely cut out or had bigger roles. (Around 8 speaking roles were cut) *Longer Ernest and Madeline Weddingscene *Madeline and her toyboy Dakota in bed during the day *Madeline's arrival outside the beauty salon parking behind a delorean *Tracey Ullman as Toni at the bar with Ernest *Madeline bickering with the maid (Nancy Fish) before the bookparty *Ernest busting Madeline on the phone with Dakota * A dead Priest at the morgue * Helen and Ernest arguing what to do with Madeline's body at the Beverly Hills Hotel * Madeline being discovered frozen in the fridge by the maid at home in the morning... being lifted up the stairs by Ernest. *Helen at the hardware store buying stuff while the clerk implies she has killed someone, Helen laughs * Lisle telling Ernest she killed Shakespeare, Lincoln and Max Factor *Lisle arriving at the springparty, with a cameo from her body double Catherine Bell... telling a joke to the crowd. Basically the whole third act with a dead drunk and Toni the barmaid was removed too The ending that was shot in Vitznau Switzerland with a 27 year older Ernest and Toni and with a still young looking Mad & Hel... There was no car wreck. The old couple just sat in the park having a picnic while the ladies sat on a balcony watching them. Their faces turning to skulls as the movie faded to black.
