I got one of these last week and I love it so much. It's on my board with the Walrus Audio Fathom, the Earthquaker Devices Transmisser and Afterneath. Reverb is the greatest thing to ever happen to my ear holes.

I really like this pedal a lot. Death By Audio makes some really unique stuff. It took me a while to find a few sweet spots with my Frequency Mangler, and Rooms looks like it has lots of super sweet spots and fun destruction.

Yup! Since there’s separate wet and dry volume controls, you can just turn the dry all the way down

They’re VERY different. Both are reverbs with their own unique character, but they do totally different things

The effect algorithms are wonderfully innovative, but the background hiss seems as if it would make the unit unfit for professional recording!

It has great sounds, like a room/hall based companion for an OBNE Darkstar or Sunlight. That said, its painfully overpriced for what you get in hardware (same as any other FV-1 reverb) which means you are paying about $350 for hype and algorithm tuning. Its good but I can't justify that much on a pedal with so many dubious design choices (clunky switches, unnecessarily big, no presets despite being digital, high end roll off on dry signal, etc.). Not really a comment on your video so much as throwing some thoughts into the hype bucket.

Let me help you rephrase this: I was considering purchasing this pedal, but your demo made me realize it might not actually be what I was looking for. Thank you for the time and energy you put into this video, which prevented me from making a purchase I would have been unhappy with.
