I think Death Grips could be defined as modern day Bad Brains. Really good music to mosh to, but way too ahead of their time and intense to become super popular. Glad you enjoyed! And that's pretty much what happened to me 2nd time I saw them in 2016 at Fox Theatre California. For whatever reason, they had very little to no lights, and no one could see jack shit, but the crowd was more nuts than I had ever seen, so I just fucking went for it. But halfway through the set, I could barely breathe from the dehydration and I had to step out. The mfs in the lobby were asking 8 bucks for a bottle of water. I look in my wallet and I'm like "Fuck, I only have 6!", but they took mercy and gave me one anyway. Good times!
