Death Knight solo: Illidan, the Betrayer

This video was made in 4.0.3 (i think he will be easy with the new death strike glyph and unholy specc after 4.0.6)
i really liked the fight and i tried so many things to kill the shadow demons so after a few wipes i skilled desecreation to slow them and it worked with stacking vengeance 2 t10 items and str pot to kill them with a death and decay after i got them i saw that i had to low dps cause they came a 2nd time at 7% so i respecced glyphed reforged and did anything i was able to do and i managed to kill him a few seconds before the 2nd demons would have spawned
difficult: kaelthas on beta niveu (nothing you want to do a 2nd time)
tactic: most tacticchanges /planingtime respeccs i ever had
costs: i payed ~3000gold for repp, elixiers, drums, respeccs, pots(necessary) and things i dont remember yet
so this was the most expensive solokill i ever had too or a bit less then sartharion
time: i spent the last 3 weeks on trying him but not that much till last 2 days before the kill
Importent Tricks:
/cancelaura Bloodshield at high health to increase vengeance
frost pres + refreshing diseases + dnd before p2 starts (saves 2-3%)
Frost Pres + str trinket + str pot + rune of fallen crusader procc + stacking vengeance + desecreation talent + 2 T10 items (20% more dnd dmg) to kill shadow demons in p4
nuke him to 30% at the moment he starts transforming again to to get him ~ 8% lower before maiev comes cause his transform time tooks long

Blood strike is that version of the heart strike that costs 1 blood rune as well, but does less damage and only hits 1 target, doesn't exist any more now (it's replaced by HS automatically), but was useful for a bit of achievements, like soloing auriaya 10 HM at 85 (as in, you can't kill the cats) or loatheb's can't kill spores achi at 85.

70 characters geared like they where back then pre-Sunwell with little armor penetration still against a 85 Blood DK, they wouldn't stand a chance haha each and every single one would get oneshotted by Deathstrike except for maybe the tanks. ^_^

With the new level 100 AoE spell that spreads diseases they would be smashed, no problem. Level 90's would go down, I wasn't considering the differences between PvP and PvE. While I was bringing an original OP DK up I was shut down by a level 80 mage in two hits and I was level 75 with sunwell and better gear attached. I Dg'ed and used chains of ice but got pushed back and frost fired lol.

@superoen to low death and decay damage for shadowdemons + maybe unhealable phase 2 i tried 2 manning him with an other dk together we managed the elementals and everything worked fine but even 2 death and decays at level 80 were not enough to kill the demons

@epicSockett lichking already was soloable at 4.0.6 but i just managed 26% when the enrage hits because my dmg gear sucks hard an other dk with almost full 372 dmg gear got him to 13% so 3% were missing since 4.1 he isnt healable but maybe with full t12 the heal will be enough again the dmg wont be a problem there
