I have not seen this sequel yet , but at the end of the 2nd movie, we see Ryuk and we understand that he comes to get Misa's life (which has been divided by 4 with the eyes she asked twice !, so normally she will die very young...) I don't understand how she is still alive, but I hope it remains coherent in the story...

Why on Earth would a Shinigami answer politely all the questions of the anti-Kira department and Ryuzaki??!! It's at a disadvantage if ppl know there can be only 6 death notes in the human world because if they find all 6 it won't be fun for the Shinigami. Also, why doesn't Peppo (or whatever the Shinigami is called) just grab the death note and leave that place? The owner of the death note (the girl) is dead so there's nothing keeping the Shinigami in the anti-Kira headquarters. The humans can't harm it, it's a Shinigami! Also, there should be only 6 effective death notes but isn't Misa's note the 7th? I find it a bit annoying how they all (except Ryuzaki) cover their faces with only their arms...I mean, really?! They're going after Kira and they don't even bother to bring a mask? I know they're the main characters (Nishima), but still... The ending was interesting, unexpected. SPOILER ALERT I thought Arma was going to sacrifice herself to protect Ryuzaki, not Nishima. But she did it because she wanted to protect the only person Ryuzaki considered to be a friend.

Funimation hasn't bothered re dubbing the original films or this new one and the original DVDs containing the dubbed versions of the first two have been long out of print

I've watched this back when it came out and for some reason youtube recommended the trailer to me now. The movie was okay to great but I feel like Matsuda and Misa should've been excluded here. Misa deserve to be happy by the end of Last name, he forgot Kira, and Matsuda became cool by shooting at light's wrist watch, giving him a chance to be a good police officer even though people treats him like a joke, so why kill them. Bullsh8. Other than that, I think it was a okay.

Yeah but- if they were gonna cast actors of other nationalities (which no one has a problem with) why take the names of the original Japanese characters? What’s the point of changing Misa to Mia and Yagami to Turner? It’s just whitewashing. They could have easily avoided that by bringing in completely new characters. Because that would universally make sense too. If the death note can take place in Japan, it can take place anywhere in the world. But they completely messed that idea up. I don’t think anybody would have minded the Netflix movie if they used their own characters.
