No , It'll be ( Car A/c 40000 To bank 40000. ) But this entry was not made in the books at all ( totally ommited) , instead a wrong entry was made 👉🏻 Travelling expenses dr 40000 To bank 40000 . On 1/4/19 , after charging depreciation the car's value stood at 32000 . But entry is still not made we're only half way there . Now , car = Asset , so its to be written on the asset side of balance sheet . But also since , asset is increasing due to its purchase; we were supposed to evaluate it in revaluation account but icai instructed otherwise so we will consider it seperately. Observed these enteries. 👎🏻 1) Car A/c dr xxx To revaluation xxx 2) revaluation dr xxx To partner's capital xxx Overall entry 3) Car's dr xxx To partner's capital xxx . By purchasing car you increase asset and increase in asset is in favour of partners... ( Agar tumhara loan par jaiga toh kya yeh tumhara nuksan nahi hoga ? )
