R.I.P Casey I know it's been 16 years now that you passed. Thank you for all the great music and epic screams you blessed us with. You were truly a Pioneer for these bands now. I was hooked from the start when I heard Hawthorne Heights on that little demo with Silverstein (Shout out to them as well) you guys are the ones who really got me hooked in the metal scene. Thank Ya'll So Much!!! ONE LOVE!!!

@AAK-ne4wv Жыл бұрын
@@todoranandrei8716 because it’s funny to watch these guys. They’re so awkward and their music is so bad that it’s actually funny to watch. People always make really dumb comments like that. As if asking “if you think it’s so bad why do you watch it?” is a way of calling me out. Like they asked me a question I had never considered and caught me like a deer in the headlights. Watching people perform really badly is really funny to watch. It’s that simple… not hard to understand at all.

Hawthorne Heights has been a well of inspiration for me. Ever since I was an adolescent, I turned to their music to help me through it. I learned to scream by listening to Hawthorne Heights. Casey is, was, and always will be a huge influence for me. Without him screaming on The Silence in Black and White and If Only You Were Lonely, I probably wouldn't be here still practising and trying to perfect my screaming. The decision for the band to just keep on going, and how they have changed and evolved as a band not only because of Casey's death, but trying to move on without him, trying to alter their sound, trying to redefine themselves as a band; it's all so inspirational to me. And you know, they've lost a couple more members; they've gone their own ways. But still, Hawthorne Heights persists. They're still making music. They're still nostalgic as ever. Their new tracks remind me so much of their older stuff with Casey, and I love that. I have no doubt in my mind Casey, wherever he is, is proud of his bandmates. He's proud of the progress they've made, and that they're still doing what they love. They initially said they wouldn't replace him, whether as a guitarist and as a screamer. They said his name would always be on the records they have made. I don't know how true any of that is anymore, but I know they do their best to honour Casey every time they take the stage. RIP, Casey Calvert. I can't thank you enough for what you and your band has done for me. I never feel alone or broken when I listen to Hawthorne Heights, and you're one of the reasons why.

His death was bought on due to substance abuse, my guess he was abusing the benzo class drug (clonazapam) which gives the user a very calm and high affect at high doses. mixed with Vicodin which also acts on the central nervous system would make it a very nasty cocktail of drugs. doctors can and do prescribe benzodiazepines and opioids together, but at low doses. Casey’s body would of completely shut down that tragic night from abusing such potent and powerful drugs. RIP none the less.
@SilverDust902 жыл бұрын
Don't "my guess" or pull that shit, it's pretty clear Casey passed from accidentally mixing two medications, one was his anti depressants and a medication to help seizures and panic attacks. You are trying to make it sound like he was some pill head when that's 100% not the case and it was purely accidental.
