Right and I ain’t arguing……if the kid is running away something ain’t right at home. I am a mother of 4 a young mother at that and I have 3 teens 14-16-17 and they aren’t staying at nobody’s crib if their parents isn’t present and fulltime parents. I am hard on them and keep it real with my them ,they might get mad at me but they have never thought about leaving my home I have told them to get out (go to grandmas, aunties, Ect..) and they still won’t because my home is where it’s at all their friends is here for the holidays 😊

I’m not blaming the mother because I know how it is raising kids, but there is absolutely no way this 12 year old should have been out at night period. 12 years old and night time don’t mix in my eyes, and I have two boys by the way. I just don’t think night time is for kids if it’s night at 5 my kids are in at 5 find something to do in house…..My heart goes out to both families it’s sad these kids are out of control 😢

She wanted the cop to false arrest her son to teach him a lesson because she knew he was hanging out with gangs but they cannot false arrest somebody, this will backfired and they will be shamed in the media for profiling, racisms, the kid will go one traumatized thinking the cops is onto him. She got herself flip flopping she said she wanted help from the got for a fake arrest on her kid bcuz he was getting in trouble and hanging with the wrong people then she said her kid is a good kid and was bothering nobody, just having fun with other 400 kids then in the end of the video she mentioned something about her kid being a black kid and how this targets him. She wanted the cops to scare the kid by false arresting him, sending him a warn so he stay out of trouble but cops cannot teach these kids lesson because it would be racial profiling, they can’t just threaten or send warnings to kids to scare them off even if the parents want them to because this is racism if they do. Because that kid will forever think the police have them as target 🤷🏿 and it’s racism too. It can backfired if cops start doing these.

People shouldn’t be so quick to judge this woman sometimes kids are going to do what they want to do and I know this from experience with my niece. No matter how much you punish. No matter how much you try to reach to your community for guidance or advice it may still never be enough. My sister has put my niece in extracurricular activities hoping it would keep her busy and not hanging around the wrong crowd. She’s taken all electronics and band her from social media. She’s gotten her counseling. My niece has even been arrested and put on probation. My niece was and is not being raised in a bad environment although her father is absent she still has a village of family members and a step father who loves her and are very present in her life but sometimes kids just make the decision to do what they want and the only thing you can do is pray over them and speak life into. So I said that to say don’t be so quick to judge because you never know the lengths and depth a person went through to try and save their kid and if she was having a hard time getting through to her son there is nothing wrong with leaning on your community for help which she tried to do.

I’m from the woods the country parts of south Ga, dirt roads and old slave shacks covered with over grown weeds and bullet vines but y’all city folks call the muscadines, we call them bullets… We got plumb trees, pecan trees, pear trees, peach trees, fig trees, magnolia trees, chinaberry trees, creeks, water wells, old water pumps and you still might see a couple of out houses…..and I wouldn’t change it for nothing! With that being said….. these young guys need to be outside exploring nature not that city bullshit!! In my opinion that’s how young boys get to know themselves, their strengths and their weaknesses and become men by being outside with nature… the country life not then damn streets! We had guns too… plenty! But we never in our right mind would pull it to harm each other, and we’re young kids also, But we knew better and all friends were like family! We knew about the city life, but most of those city guys were bullies, spoiled, sensitive and couldn’t fight and like to talk fast about a hole lot of nothing and we didn’t talk much, Plus they always tried to outsmart us but we always outsmarted them so they kinda left us alone . I know that’s neither here nor there… It’s just my thoughts! This is sad but it’s normal and when the death of kids or anybody becomes normalized then we are doomed to embody death! Is this all we got offer each other? Damn sho looks like it! I bet you a million bucks that kid was gunned down over something silly or NOTHING at all…..

my condolences to all. i do know that I NEVER allowed my kid to go outside alone hanging with 400 kids. what in the Merry weather is going on. My kid had homework, projects and didn't go out until Friday, Aaturday's. And there was no going out on a school night. School, after school, dinner, bath, bed, STUDY, get A's. These kids have too much time on their hands. Cameron was just going by on his scooter. And Zyion was hanging with, AGAIN, so called friends. Just breaks my heart knowing that people don't know where their kids are . I'm sorry, a 12 yrr old At someone's house, what? THis is crazy on so many levels. why are 400 kids outside. what the heck are they doing. go help your mama clean the kitchen. I don't understand this. every one of those parents who had a child there, needs to check their child, and NOW before the shit gets worse.

1. Take accountability. 2. Stop depending on the city and governmental institutions. 3. Teach basic manners. 4. By age 2, obtain your child a library card and educate.

Am I understanding this correctly? It sounds as though the family is saying the Atlanta PD should have done more. Sorry, but where's the ownership of YOUR child? That CHILD should have known better than to be a follower and join loads of other children to roam and cause havoc on the streets at night. The fear of and disappointment to his parents/family alone should have forced him to stay indoors. It's almost as though damned if you do, damned if you don't if you're a police officer. Had they given him a scared straight session and put him behind bars or had a conversation with him, the parents/family would have definitely spun it a different way and accused them of harassment or brutality. That little boy didn't deserve to die, and I understand the family is upset and looking to blame others, but this is most certainly not it! The countless programs out here to steer kids in the right direction and to prevent the lure of the streets ON TOP of families taking responsibility of their children is what is supposed to be raising our youth. If you cannot take ownership of what is yours, then don't have children. Quit forcing others to raise your children and blaming others for your failures.

Parents have got to make their kids understand that there are consequences for what you do & don’t do in your life. For starters, where were the influential men, Father Figures or Family members in his life? You know your mischievous child needs supervision! Why weren’t YOU nor family members NOT in the background protecting him, monitoring/overseeing him instead of depending upon authorities to do your job as a parent. You have got to be in the background with a child like that every step of the way. Parenting is not for the faint of heart. Some kids require constant supervision! If you as a parent could not be at Atlantic Station with him, then he had NO BUSINESS being there either! A stray bullet doesn’t have anyones name on it!

It's the left ruining the youth. To be fair, they control most of the social media platforms, so you're kinda right. Things worked pretty damn well for society for 1000's of years, then the left came along with their radical ideas and now everyone is wondering why everything is going to shit. Boys can be girls now, children don't need fathers, your problems are someone else's fault, don't worry about being accountable, participation trophies ... yeah I can't figure out where things went wrong.

My 16 year old can go with my permission out with his friends and my 12 year old cannot go no further than the neighborhood park with his friends the moment he start hanging with an older crowd I gotta then step up. Nyc is a bigger city with so many different groups of kids and normally the likeminded kids hang with each other meaning the ones that where raised pretty much the same and have the same rules most of the time smaller cities have a little bitch more of an issue with teen and pre teens always have

just K_I_M Diversity prevents a consensus on a code of conduct EXAMPLE Will Smith committed assault on national TV but was not arrested or removed from the room What kind of message does that send to kids? Crime is ok if somebody insults you? The Oscars went 94 years before a crime was committed and by a blk man YEA diversity It prevents a consensus on priorities of the country and the community EXAMPLE Allowing illegal that don't speak English don't pay taxes but expect bilingual education splitting the resources for our kids

These inner cities need to do more to get these illegal guns off the street and fix our gun laws why do these minors have guns? I know we have a right to bear arms but there needs to be more gun control and screenings and background checks. And the types of guns being sold should be regulated, heavily.
