Was a lot to juggle, character wise, but was interesting how the wife's character was revealed retroactively through her relationships. I did get a little lost. Who made the first call to the police? I missed that bit.

I have that problem with some radio plays. This one was OK with me but sometimes the actors are indistinguishable.

The first hour was good !Unfortunately the last 20 minutes descend into farce . A pity. Also , as always in these radio dramas the police seem completely ignorant of Forensics. ?!! Their investigation consists of interviewing suspects repeatedly. This was 1979 not 1879 !! Things had moved on slightly .....

Your comment about radio drama being ignorant of forensics makes no sense. Have you heard all radio dramas? Radio drama is about people, relationships, drama not forensic procedure otherwise it would be a documentary
