My greatest inspiration. The composer of 7 classic albums, each moving in their own respects. Who imparted his wisdom and skill onto numerous other musicians who would go on to other amazing metal bands. Who induces awe with both his leads and riffs; both his vocals and lyrics. The inventor and perfecter of the music that now bears the name of his brainchild: Death Metal. Who taught me "Enforce the words no more; be free. Alone you might just find serenity". 10 years later, I remember you Chuck.

one of the things i find truley amazing about chuck is that he probably could have saved himself had he played a different more poular type of music, but he spent his life doing what he loved and died for it, and thats why i find him to be a truley inspiring person. he died for what he loved. RIP chuck.

I just played at the whiskey, i was stoked. But even cooler than the fact that i was playing there was that i knew i was standing where chuck was right here. Cool story about this show was that Live in LA was my first death cd i got when i was 13 or so and it was was performed on my birthday (December 5th) in 2000 or 99 i think, and it was the only southern california show in driving distance from me. I would have been like 11 or 12 years old at the time. Anywho, RIP CHUCK YOUR A LEGEND NOW!

I can't begin where to start on how godly this live concert was. The biggest thing about this concert is how it's probably the best ever, and that Chuck also had cancer while he did this concert. Long live Chuck.

Alexi and Chuck are so different... Chuck always played with his caracteristic feeling, and this feeling never gone away until his death. Only his illness could stopped his feeling..., and now that he is gone so far away, the feeling we have about him, is the same that Chuck used to play his songs for us. Alexi hasn't got the same motivation, Chuck Schuldiner played for us until his death and one prove is the Live they made in Eindhoven in 2001 the same year of Schuldiner death. RIP CHUCK

that's just what i hear in it. I hear a lot of King in his guitar. The lyrics fit a lot of bands, but would definitely fit well on a Slayer record. That's just what i pull out of this song, that's what art is all about. And this song is truly a work of art.

He didnt use any effects if thats what you mean. He played a Bc Rich Stealth custom guitar with a Dimarzio x2n pickup on it until 97 or 98 then he switched to something else atleast thats what it sounds and looks like. as for amp its a marshall jcm amp of somekind i think but not sure.
Why feel sad? He brought about some masterpieces!! That is a call for celebration.

Death was the first death metal band I got into. At first I was all like, 'death metal sucks nuts!! the vocals suck!!' When I first heard the album Human, I was like.....wow this is the definition of good music and the vocals are so unique, and to think that Chuck is playing guitar at the same time; that is just amazing dexterity and musicianship.
