I love hearing both of your insights into my favorite short story writer's works. If you are looking for other Akutagawa stories in the future put "The Life Of A Stupid Man" on the list. The story's structure is a bit different from his usual work and I'd be super excited to hear both of your thoughts on it. Keep up the great analysis!

I'm really interested in reading this story now ! Dealing with our own mortality is such a scary thing as we get older. It helps to have friends and family to urge us to go on with our daily lives even if we're facing an illness, or just aging in general. We all need HOPE. We all hope when we leave this life, it's for a better life..I hate the saying..."live each day as if it's your last." Because how can we truly do that ? We have jobs, and responsibilities that get in the way of living our lives to the utmost. We do the best we can. That's all we can do. I hate skulls, but you asked for a skull if we watched the entire video,so here it is.💀 Thanks for this review. Cindy 🌻
