Oh no problem! I can understand your fear and while the game is challenging it's not going to be a maddening and repetitive challenge like in a souls game. You'll unlock plenty of shortcuts and the punishment for death is nothing extreme.

@@IDreamofIndie Do you have any idea if the achievements are missable and how hard that one achievement will be for only using an umbrella as your melee weapon?

@@missitheachievementhuntres560 A few of them seem to pertain to certain things that need to be done to bosses. So once those bosses are defeated I would think those are missable. As far as the umbrella, it's weaker than your standard sword so yeah, would be a good challenge!

Wow this sounds amazing I definitely overlooked this one usually don't play top down games like this but you sold it to me with the fantastic atmosphere and story yes please! I could hear by the tone in your voice how much you enjoyed this one.

Really looking forward to this, great review. Can I ask what are your basic PC specs, what resolution did you run it at and how did it run for you fps wise? Was there any stuttering you noticed?

Yeah not a problem! I ran the game on a Ryzen 5 3600 paired with a Nvidia 2070 Super. Game ran flawless maxed at 4K 60FPS.

Yeah I've heard that comparison tossed around now and it does make sense with the way the combat is and the dungeons are laid out. But I also feel like Death's Door isn't just another Zelda style game because it has such a unique world and personality of its own.

Someone please go ask Sony why they keep letting all of these games get away from us. Ask Sony why they haven't got this title coming to our platform.. This is now another one of a long list of good games that keep going to both Nintendo And Xbox. I keep hearing from Developers that Sony is problematic.. Hard to work with, as is the software. Porting to the Playstation is far more work than it is the Xbox. That's Sony's software at work.. 🤦🏼‍♂️

It's kind of interesting to see this shift suddenly where more games are going the PC/Xbox route, because last gen so many cases were the opposite. Word is Sony does not make it easy on indies which is really disheartening to hear.

Yeah you know that is one thing I forgot to mention in the review. I did have a few times where I said to myself, yeah maybe a map would help a bit haha but it generally wasn't a big deal
