Awesome cover of an awesome song with an awesome band! Saw them open up for Black Sabbath in Sweden, great show, and funny thing, the singer threw a bottle of water out in the crowd so they turned the light up very bright so I turnd around to look for my friends, but ended up getting hit in the head with the bottle the singer throwd out :P

They were great, really fucking awesome actually. I may not have seen many bands but that was the best concert I've been at yet. I'm gonna see them July next year in the same arena here in Sweden. It's Monsters Of Rock so I hope for some more big bands there too, so far it's just Sabbath and Rival Sons, which is great, they are two of my favorite bands, so that will be awesome!

Stellar cover, dude. Just out of curiosity, how does one acquire that filthy old-school microphone sound (Like Uncle Acid's)? I'm absolutely desperate to get a sound like his! What effects did you use? Is it simply just a case of cutting the low end with eq, compression, bit of reverb and running it through some sort of tube-driven distortion? Thanks!

+choppablewood Thanks! I love questions like this because I'm an audio nerd at heart. Most of the lo fi sound comes from the mic itself. It naturally has some type of low end cut - something to do with the shape of the body possibly because the capsule is from a Beta 58. You can easily emulate this in the computer. I drive the mic through my preamp to give it a little overdrive. In post, I usually do some tape saturation, compression, and tape delay to give it that vibe. I like going for color with this style, it's all about painting an audio picture, if that makes sense. Slap back delay helps a ton. Hope this helps!

+MicroBit A huge part of the sound comes from the microphone - the lofi ness of it. I did post processing with tape saturation and a short delay to give it the vibe it has. Thanks!
