DDS my favorite vaporwave artist. Loved "Ill try living like this" so much and when you released Faith in Persona I creamed. You took the vaporwave formula of sampling things from 80s/90s songs and evolved it by including samples from early 2000s. I genuinely feel like you single handedly evolved vaporwave. Faith in Persona is a masterpiece of an album and its SERIOUSLY a shame it hasn't gotten as popular as earlier albums. My favorite track off the whole album is "Someones in the room"

Honestly i feel like DDS was a crazy listen for me, i'd known about them from ages ago when Vaporwave was more popular but then i saw Faith in Persona (i think it was a fantano video) and gave it a listen and the MIDI aesthetic along with the sampling was one of those click moments of "yes that is the sound", i feel like only like 5 artists have ever given me that feeling

"Pop Chin" was an absolute obsession of mine when this record clicked for me. Couldn't tell you how many days I spent tearing it to shreds in my head, marveling at the ingenuity of certain songwriting moments (the transition leading up to 2:12 immediately comes to mind) and how utterly cinematic the whole journey manages to feel in such a tantalizingly short runtime. It's pop perfection. Even if you don't get into the weeds of that particular track in a breakdown, just know that your ear for detail has been a wonderful instructor for me during this past year of devouring your music.

Hey Keith! I know you may not see this comment, but I took inspiration from this album's cover + 2 others and made a mashup album cover during my 10th grade art class. Now, I won't use it for any music projects (as I'd have to consult you, Tech, or James, as well as the other musicians that inspired my album cover I drew), but I just figured to tell you this. I love you and the other members' works under the death's dynamic shroud name, btw.

I have a question that I hope you can answer. How do you go about clearing samples for the albums you have done? I've noticed that you've sample a large range of different samples and I was a bit curious how you go about doing that. On a side note thanks for the upload, your music is a big inspiration to me and this is a masterclass in understanding how to be a better music producer.

@@vee361-e1c The album is on Spotify though, that's what puzzles me. If it was a soundcloud or KZbin upload it would make sense, but the album has an official release. If anyone can give me some insight about this I would greatly appreciate it.
