Brilliant of you to go “there”, where most songwriters fear to tread. Reminds me a little of how St Francis called it Sister Death at the end of his life; and Bob Dylan wrote “It’s doom alone that counts”. I had a serious brush with possible death myself at age 25 when a Greyhound bus flew off a cliff but luckily landed perfectly in the river below only because heavy rainstorms had just raised the water level high. We have to be ready at any age.

They who probably have think-tanks with ears and eyes and who attempt looking ahead, at least a bit more times than never, they got the message. Yeah... The only trifle here, in a manner of speaking, that one may fancy at this point can be a capability to comprehend the message up to the hilt and try to live on as if no one got it right. For some more minutes, days, years and so on... Untill the "end", right? Cheers, folks beyong the Ocean! Why worry now? You dear North Americans sometimes seem to be a little bit too serious at things like listening to a nice song amazingly performed by a nice lady with such brilliant name of a Queen or a Ruler of Old, and containing a certain concept, even if it concerns such deep things like that one.... As they samurais say, things of great concern should be treated lightly...

Bravo, Bravo, the Real awakening & enlightenment comes not from our minuscule time on Earth, but rather what lies beyond this momentary physical experience. Enjoy and fulfill your life here to the fullest, yes, but also embrace Death not as something to be feared, but rather as a welcoming Angel whose been sent to guide you through the transition from the restrictive limitations of this earthly experience, to an unimaginable transformation of pure Love and Energy. Your song is spot on Reina de Cid, spot on. Thank you sweetie.

Reina: This song is lovely for its melody, it's wonderful prose, and the sweet heart that crafted it. I lost a life partner just over a year ago, and accepting the end of such a gentle, wise, and loving woman has been difficult, because of her belief there is no afterlife. Your view has left room for a nonreligious perspective, and created a gentle path to a life's end that was not smooth from cancer. Forever a fan of yours for Dorothy. - Jim
