this game would make so much more sense if they were on rollerblades like motorball. I don't understand the speed of the characters visually because they have a locked running animation. they dont look like they're moving their legs faster but they speed up?

I think them running is the interesting part. Even if it looks kinda goofy sometimes.

It does look a little strange, but at the same time, the initial running animation after a boost does have them moving their legs faster but not for long.

Maybe they’re taking longer running strides, somewhat common when running at higher speeds
