Death Stranding 2 Trailer Music // Piano

The moment I heard the music in the trailer I knew it was right up my alley
I think this one suits my play style pretty well! The first 1.20 minute was an absolute joy to learn, it's so well written -- surprisingly comfortable for how much is going on in some parts, and it sounds so, so nice.
After the 1.20 minute mark things get a bit trickier, because the soundtrack is honestly barely audible in the trailer - also, it's over 9 mins long I mean wow, that's a long trailer and I still have no idea what's going on (love it) - so I decided I'd try and roughly transcribe what I hear until I find a decent stopping point. It changes character quite a lot by the end, so this is how long it turned out with it still sounding somewhat cohesive!
Started working on it on Saturday, recorded on Monday - once again, got pretty consumed! Again, though, it's so fun to play, especially that initial bit. 0:35 is my favorite part of the whole thing.
I'll probably share the sheet music for this one, since I already have it mostly transcribed!

Sounds really good! Great playing, and the mic placement captures your piano well (to my amateur ears at least). The end had me at the edge of my seat waiting for a tonic in the bass, haha.

Thank you! I took your notes from last time into account - panned the mics fully L/R and I do think it sounds better! As for the ending, yeah lol I had SUCH an itch to just change the harmony in some places

I got a mixer and new mics (Rode NT5 pair), did the 100% pan L/R thing, and made a new recording a couple days ago...I'm pretty happy with the sound, although I still foresee hours of tinkering with mic placement anyway: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a57YZ4Ghh96roLssi=HoEs7ZHtIyKO3hbn And yeah, now and then ending without a totally resolved feeling is good. It's beautiful to see things around us interact with music. As I watched you play I noticed the chairs in the background swinging, when you got to 1:15 in the song you stopped and so did the chairs. That is what I love about music, stop and listen and watch as things come to life with music.

Hey Caliko. Sorry , going a bit off topic here, but I have your terror in resonance medley in my playlist (discovered it recently) . It is quite amazing , however , it didn't have my favorite piece from the anime, nc17. Now its been a while since ive watched the anime, so I dont remember what scene it is from , but nevertheless it is my favourite.
