A couple of days ago I had a chance to visit the Death Stranding - Fractured Worlds Art Exhibit in New York City. Death Stranding is a video game created by the venerable visionary Hideo Kojima. Unfortunately, I didn't get to appear on the day that Kojima arrived but, I did get to see many other really cool things. I had never been to a video game museum so it felt pretty darn special to see what it was like and it shows how much the platform of video games has grown over the years. I got to see a mock set up of the white room at Kojima Productions in Japan, as well as many conference badges and awards won by Mr. Kojima. Next, was a room with the concept art of the game scattered throughout as well as a camouflage shirt. I am not sure who signed it but if I was to guess it was Mads Mikkelsen. After this was a room with a fake office set up from Kojima Productions with a wittle mini Sam Bridges in the corner of the room. Next was the music room. In the final part of the exhibit we got to see the wall where Hideo Kojima, Norman Reedus, who plays the main protagonist Sam Bridges, and the rest of the cast put their inked handprints. There was also a life size Sam Bridges which is beautifully well designed. I also got to see the Death Stranding Collectors Edition Box, which looked awesome. Lastly, I has the opportunity to see the merchandise store where they sold plenty of interesting items too large for my budget. The coolest piece for sale was definitely the photo signed by Yoji Shinkawa for $270.
This will be the first game in over a decade that Kojima made that wasn't a Metal Gear Solid game. If you played the game please tell me what you thought of it.
Tomorrow is in your hands
