You know a lof ot people complain about this being a walking simulator, and it kind of is, I was also one of them. But Epic Games gave the game away for free on Christma's in 2022, and I had nothing else to do, so I played it, and kept playing it. Until I finished it. I don't know what it is but I think that the fact that this game is so chill it allows to be alone with your thoughts for long, it's almost like therapy. And now, it is so nostalgic to the point that I wish I could go back, man, I wish I could go back in time to that very moment and relieve it again, all of it. This game is so relaxing and it is now attached to an episode in my life, all those days I spent playing this, my surroundings, the people I interacted with along those days, the memories, it all comes in a package, and it only makes me wanna play it again. I was happy and I did not know it at the time. Watching this makes me miss this game so much.

Kojima is one of the only directors who is willing to make something outside of the box with AAA budget. Death Stranding is a wild game. Who'd have thought a game about just walking, making package deliveries across an empty wasteland would work? And what other studio would be willing to MAKE such a game? Only Kojima. And the walking simulator works so well. The atmosphere, the music... it all just fits so well, and has a special place in my heart. People like to say Kojima is a whack and overrated, but once again with Death Stranding, he made a story that was absolutely insane whack, feels like makes no sense half the time... and yet it is something so unmistakably human and beautiful. People can say he's overrated, but I'll keep saying he's a master of his craft, until he proves me wrong by making a game that doesn't blow me away. Can't wait to see what he cooked up with the sequel.

death stranding getting me through the day yet again. its such a personal work of kojima and i feel it wholeheartedly. PT demonstrated the workplace abuse he faced in konami, being stuck in that room monitered 24/7, and killing his passion works but death stranding is the healing and the return of his journey. the game is literally a therapy walk through nature and bonding with other lonely people to (as kojima calls it) "charge your soul with soul warriors". I remember working at this warehouse place at 17 moving boxes everyday and being completely alone and seeing the fragile sign on boxes. I would always whisper to myself "I'm fragile, but I'm not that fragile." and I would feel like somewhere distant there was someone who understood me. over those years I completely lost the immense amount of passion I had for art, but lately I started listening to low roar again and I feel like I want the world to understand me.

Fuck it. This game is art. Art isn’t always fun and definitely not all art is made for everyone (in a good way, like when you recognize a music is astonishingly great, but it just doesn’t touch your emotions). Yeah, there are the usual energy drink ad here and there that could tint a work of art, but the ephemeral world and the solitude of the traveler are such perfect metaphors of our modern world (or, I see so)… to sum up: something something capitalism, individualism and the passage of time. I could advocate for this game all day, but its pretty hard to express feelings in a language that isn’t my native. I feel like Sam when first met the president with low roar music. It's more than just a small meeting but a legacy to carry. I hope Ryan find his peace where ever he is now.

I dont understand why some people going crazy about this. Its a nice cut video that catches the beauty of the landscapes together with the music. It absolutly fits the slow playstyle and ambient (was that english? hope so,,,,german guy here lol). I like it. So its a thumb up for me. BTW. I´ve given the thump up like 3 years ago. Just writing this because i´m drunk an difting away in good memories of the game and its music.

Calling death stranding a walking sim is like calling the mona Lisa a drawing. Hideo Kojima finally got his chance to just let loose. To pour his soul and mind into a game, a truly unique game with a very strange, but beautiful story.

I can't forget the magic of this game when I was building a road under the low roar after completion and after each session, I saw numerous 'likes' from other people. It was wonderful...
