I've seen videos of Porter NPCs causing voidouts, but not this yet. I just started CH5 and got a taste of terrorist camps. They play completely different than MULE camps and I'm kinda scared to face terrorist camps lol

MULEs run away from BTs and hide indoors during timefall, terrorists actively try to causd voidouts

It seems a repatriate like Sam causes smaller voidouts. The few times, I've experienced them the craters aren't too big. Normal people however, takes out miles of terrain. Do they ever say what the blast radius is?

Repatriated have smaller blasts because some of the energy gets sent to the beach

No but the crater you can see on the map after the first cutscene void out that you see during corpse disposal from car in prologue for scale.

There is also a big crater that you can't reach in the right side of the map for reference. +/- that size

The dragging thing is only a gamification. It doesn't really make any sense for big BTs to even exist, they're just there for gameplay purposes, I assume.

I played the start of this game for a couple hours, stopped(didn't have time to play it) then picked it up again years later... Can anyone explain to me what the heck a void out is and why they happen when someone stays dead for too long or touches a BT? I think a voidout is the think where it shows a giant BT at the start of the game, right?

A voidout is a massive explosion that is most likely stronger than a nuclear bomb, at the beginning of the game you see Igor from Corpse Disposal get eaten by a giant BT. When a BT absorbs/eats a human this explosion occurs, it leaves behind a massive crater that can destroy entire cities and cripple continents, in game you can actually create voidouts by getting eaten by a BT but i strongly discourage this, Npcs are needed in order to get new items to craft. you need to complete contracts for people to increase your connection level, they reward you with gear and cudtomization colors for your gear. But if you cause a voidout it can kill them and lock you from recieving the rewards they give.

@@amgames5638 im gonna be honest, its a very long game and it takes a while to get you used to the long walks or confusing sights, but its probably one of, if not the most beautiful game ive ever played, i truly enjoyed my experience playing it and i think a restart would probably be a good idea. If you have any other questions about lore, gameplay mechanics or otherwise id be happy to answer

@@strongfat625 Thank you! Yes, i actually got back into it a couple weeks ago and have played 45 hours so far and am still in mid America. Someone told me they beat this game in 20 hours and i'm confused as to how lol. So far I've been enjoying it quite a bit, it has it's flaws, but i don't understand why this game was hated on so much, i love the game.

@@amgames5638its quicker if you only do the missions that progress the story but i recommend you try to get 5 stars on every person you can deliver to, a trick to remember for an easier playthrough, lost cargo will only yield connection points if you deliver it to the person it belongs to, so if you collect a bunch of lost cargo and deliver it to its intended recipient you will recieve a large amount of connection points. This means instead of doing orders you can collect lost cargo instead. entrusting the cargo will just give likes and nothing else so you Have to deliver it to who it belongs to

So, people be always talking about how terrified they are of encountering Beached Things and all that stuff, and I'm over here like "Dude! Just stay the fuck off of the beach! Get a pool or whatevs!" (This is a joke. I've never played this game, or know anything at all about it, but am pretty sure it's not that simple.)

Actually BTs in the game are created by people who tries to come back to life from the beach but cant bring their "ka" with them cause they are not repatriates. Which makes sense because if you died and could come back, you would chose to do so. I mean it would take an *exceptional* willpower not to.
