Had Tom's 2nd diss been weak, that would have been different. With Gawne, he was lyrically outgunned by VI Seconds. I made perfect sense. If you knew the specifics of the battles, I wouldn't need to elaborate; high intellects allow for inferences to be made -- sorry for your shortcomings, in that respect.

I grew up conscious rap and lyrical rap and those rappers made us think, but these new rappers have nothing to say all they talk about is how many woman they are having sex with how much money they have and what drugs that are taking. now crypt, gawne, futuristic, and mac lethal all said that and mac let even said in his version kids use to want to be astronaut in outter space now that want to put that's on their face. So yeah they do need to have substance in their lyrics but they dont they dont care what the say in their rhymes. Rappers back in the day took time th structure the lyrics and made sure they made since

I agree that there are subgenres of Hip hop. Much like other genres of music, there are significant differences between styles. It's very true, even with hip hop. There is good hip hop and there is sh!tty hip hop. :D :p

Although I generally dislike mumble rap, I will acknowledge it has some merit. Some beats and lyrics are catchy and stick in your head, and it often doesn't put pressure on people who they're supposed to be. That being said, some of it is so bad you really wonder why it's so popular. Many songs are downright degrading people and spreading messages that negatively influence people's lives. I love lyrical rap with a message and a purpose. I love sick beats and I love music in general. Some mumble rap can be good and catchy, but artists who can bring a message that makes you reflect and where the beat, flow and their delivery is fire, that's where it's at for me.
