I love watching the Maxxis RAZR MTs get put to the test! Love the video :)
@EPIC-4WD3 жыл бұрын
I've never run the Maxxis RAZRs before... Here's my review. They are soft, wear poorly, have flat spots in the morning, especially in the cold. The plus side... they have a great sidewall - I've done some stupid things with them at 5psi clearly expecting them to slice and they don't. Going back to the gold standard of Nitto Trail Grapplers now that they have the 38x13.50R20 size available!
@tomandhistruck3 жыл бұрын
@@EPIC-4WD Honestly, we have similar reviews of the Maxxis RAZR MT. I enjoy mine but every bad point you said about them are true. They wear poorly and are not that great on the highway. Especially driving about 30 minutes south of the Canadian boarder in the winter where they turn into ice blocks and are almost useless on the road. After 20PSI, they seem to come into their own in most any terrain. I enjoy them but I knew they were kind of a throw away tire for my first set of treads on my new SAS setup. Would you be able to recommend a tire that's better than "just okay" with everything Canada has to offer that's not the Nitto Trail Grapplers? Leaning towards the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT for some reason. I spend between 60-70% of my time on the roads.
@EPIC-4WD3 жыл бұрын
@@tomandhistruck The Baja Boss MTs and ATs are excellent. Our crew has a long history with the MTs and the ATs have done us well on our Mojave. I'd run them in a second if they had my size ;-)

@@EPIC-4WD That makes me feel a lot better about presently being stuck between the those exact tires in size 37 for my rig! Thanks! I'm sorry they don't have your shoe size, it's hard to find a decent set of shoes that come in size 38 ;)

"It's allright if you like that kinda thing" ... The Ginger is cracking me up. Thanks for reminding me of the two greatest family trips to date: a 6-week CA/AZ/HI trip including Death Valley and the Grand Canyon in winter time. And a 4-week roadtrip through BC ... awesome. Helps relieve the stress from working from home ... I think you should do a series of t-shirts / hoodies featuring the ginger ... #sarcasm_first ... I'd surely buy one. The flat rock closest to the wall you all drove on at chicken corner used to be much taller and a hazard until it was blasted down to a drivable rock a couple of years ago just after they re-did the old pole Bridge into the new retaining wall. Did that loop in my F150 in Oct, that tight corner a block before chicken corner was the hardest part.
