I wonder if Robert Sheckly is still alive. If not I wonder what he would think if he knew ordinary people would be able to listen to his written stories being read on liitle hand held computers (smartphones)

Died in 2005 at the age of 77, according to Wikipedia... that was several years after the introduction of smartphones, and about 10 months after the launch of KZbin. Audiobooks existed for most of Sheckley's life on vinyl, and on cassette tape since the 1970s.

An amusing ending to a well-written story. Too bad no one on board had the presence of mind to call for a change of the ship's heading before the fuel ran low. Too bad the ship didn't have redundant fuel valves, or a narrower fuel line to limit the rate of flow.
