The only other character seen doing it is his accountant Fenton Crackshell in the original Ducktales. And in a sign of how serious Scrooge is about his books being balanced, especially the money in the bin, he didn't quibble about the extra 15 minutes (and pay) it took Fenton to find one coin. So I don't care for much of either character, but I have to admit it seemed like they didn't consider everything. Yes Scrooge was able to destroy a steamboat, but shovel Knight was able to beat Kratos, a literal god killer. They also said that Shovel Knight has "never faced anyone like Scrooge". True, but after beating Kratos Shovel Knight tells Kratos, "your techniques are unlike anything I've seen before". So Shovel Knight is capable of fighting outside his element. If he had gone against Superman, that match would be set and done.

Seeing these weapons pointed directly at him, Shovel Knight would use the phase locket to avoid the first shots, and seeing what the effects did to whatever object would be behind him, he'd chug down on the ichor of boldness, giving him a whole 10 seconds to hit Scrooge. And as we saw at around 15:00, SK was actually able to draw blood, meaning Scrooge was pretty low on health (to use video game terms). This means that SK could've potentially killed Scrooge in these 10 seconds of invincibility, if he had not been hit by the lasers first of course. How's that for an explanation?

A physics breaking cartoon character should only fight a physics breaking cartoon character. Game characters, no matter how ubsurd, are still limited to game mechanics, while cartoons have no such restrictions.

Notice how any strength/endurance/speed/experience feats are from the comic. They also state Shovel Knight has not fought anyone on Scrooge's level. He literally fought dragons and giant steampunk mechas shooting rockets! He even beat that giant robot after fighting every other knight in a battle royale with no rest. He also has several means of being invincible to damage and status effects, using the locket and two chalice means he has the ability to be untouchable for the majority of this fight. They also forgot that Shovel Knight can throw a gold coin and when scrooge touches it, it would turn him into gold, instant kill. There's no way Scrooge would not resist grabbing that coin.

Deadpool is a gag character but as a deathbattle character he works, simply because he doesn't break too many laws of physics with his feats, sure he can't die, but you can incapacitate him for a while where he'll need time to recover, I'm sure if he dove into the center of the planet, even he would be atomized.

This fight was cool, but I think Link vs Shovel Knight would have been better. They have far, far more in common, whereas SK and Scrooge were paired up almost solely because they both bounce on enemies' heads. Actually, Link can do the whole bouncing on heads thing too.

Yes, Scrooge has 100+ years of experience...living. Not in combat. Just being older doesn't automatically make you a hardened warrior. Shovel Knight's experience is ALL in battle. Yes, Scrooge spent a portion of his life fighting, but Shovel Knight's entire knight career is spent fighting. Scrooge also never fought an endurance round like SK did, proving SK has the edge in endurance. And if Scrooge used the anti-inertia and neutra-friction ray on SK, he couldn't do any damage with SK's Shovel Blade because it would be under the effect of the guns....right? Am I crazy, or was I just actually paying attention? Also, not sure why they brought up the ichors SK can use to buff himself, if it wasn't going to be used in the fight. Seems like a pretty important factor to just accidentally overlook. That said, props to the 2D spritework, holy hell....visually, probably one of my favorite fights you guys have done, even with the great 3D model work from previous episodes. SUUUPER impressive.

Scrooge has also fought against a knight, who wore an armour that would disintegrate anybody that touched it, and Scrooge won. The question is also the firing speed of his gun, it was fast enough to stop a cannonball in motion at almost point-blank range. At the distance, he would need to dodge it in a matter of seconds, hell possibly even milliseconds. Scrooge also has a stopwatch that freezes time, meaning that he could easily kill him during that time.

Gravity works on the rays so he could bash his head in with it. You are right with the experience but cartoon logic beats all unless it goes again anime logic and even then cartoon logic wins over 90% of the time. So just accept it since death battle woks on feats of a character not actual fighting abilities.

It's either a material that flexes only on a shocking impact (as opposed to simply holding one's weight stable) or a standard spring-managed system inside the chamber of the cane. Unlike many of the other treasures and technology with which Scrooge could have trounced Shovel Knight, this one's incredibly feasible.

The whole joke of DB is taking completely wild and ridiculous characters and evaluating them based on Real-World logic. In the real world if someone does something once, that usually means that they have the ability to do it more if they want to. Besides, Scrooge's feat of tossing a coin across the river and catching it himself is hardly that much of an outlier, as this video clearly shows. He consistently shrugs of punishment that would kill normal people and has enough speed and strength to level towns. And no, "cartoon logic" does not explain that. Even other residents of Duckburg consider Scrooge to be a superhuman monster.
