It really isn't. Try watching it as an adult, and you'll see it's actually pretty bad and you're just looking back on it with sentimentality. The best cartoons of the 90s that actually hold up even now, were The Tick, Garfield and Friends, Ren and Stimpy, The Real Ghostbusters (though that was mostly in the 1980s), and of course Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles. Honorable mentions go to Eek the Cat, Beetlejuice, The Mask, Project GeeKeR, and Pinky and the Brain.

Interesting detail that didn't make it into the rundown: During one of the Avalon trip episodes: It's explicitly stated, when Goliath, Eliza, Angela, and Bronx wind up meeting Anubis (it's complicated) that gargoyles age at half the human rate. So considering Goliath's _visual_ age in comparison to human, that "more combat experience than Beast" is quite a bit more. Now I'm writing a headcanon where this whole fight was something Demona set up because she knew Beast was getting close to something Demona wants hidden, and Demona learned Xanatos wanted to hire Beast. So she secretly set it up so Goliath wound up thinking Beast was a threat when he was just waiting for his interview. (Which would royally tick off Xanatos and Goliath, but Demona doesn't have a good record of thinking that far ahead, or considering that events might have conclusions that are not beneficial to her. Fox isn't the genius Xanatos is and still thinks rings around Demona.)

I'm gonna write a fan-made Death Battle episode involving Gargoyles: Gremlins vs Gargoyles. 80s humanoid creatures with a weakness to light vs 90s humanoid creatures with a weakness light. Also, they both have names starting with the letter G. I'm pretty sure the will Gargoyles stomp, what with them having major strength, speed, stamina, durability, and experience advantages, even if it takes place in an environment with plenty of water, which the Gremlins use to reproduce and propagate their species, giving them the strength in numbers advantage, and the Gargoyles also have the edge in teamwork, whereas the Gremlins don't work nearly as well together. Either way, it's gonna be a hell of a lot of fun to write.

Hulk can be killed. Rip his head off and he is dead. Not only that but he has laser beams that can kill easy. Darkseid can keep up with superman who is by the way far more powerful than hulk.

Jody Boles Hulks ripped half his head off and was fine. And pretty much everything important was eaten by nuclear mutated bugs in Hulk the end so I don't know if that would kill him. Maybe temporarily. But if Banners head was cut off he would die.

Jody Boles Hulk doesn't have a limit to how strong he can be, Superman has a limit to his strength. With Hulks healing factor Superman's fighting style wont work.

SonofSparda2792 my 5 problems with this 1. Kenpachi gets stomped on by Akuma 2. Vegeta could easily kill mewtwo 3. Asura vs Broly is another one sided battle 4. Any death battle where it's one sided because they are god status taking on regular anime swordsman is boring. 5. Ichigo and kenpachi are both technically dead. Akuma has no problem killing something that is dead but sasuke does. Everything else is pretty interesting

ilovetoparty1 Jake Long may not know much about magic, but his allies do and can prepare spells, potions, and other equipment for him that would aid him in a battle against immaterial foes such as ghosts. If given no time for preparation Danny would undoubtedly have a great advantage, but given time for preparation Jake would become a much more imposing foe for him.

Coming back to this fight after having read Joss Whedon's Astonishing X-Men run, they seem to have missed how Beast single-handedly took on and took out one of the bodies of the villain Danger, a foe powerful and knowledgeable enough to take on and take down foes like Colossus and Wolverine. Mind you, Danger was even in a winged form similar to Goliath in this fight
