This is wonderful, the fact that Zappa did it better with just a band is incredible.

Fantastic!!!!! The band is HOT, a fitting tribute to Frank Zappa.

The one thing the Zappa family asked, if you played Frank's music, is that you take the time to learn them properly.
@iforth642 жыл бұрын
Indeed. The guitarist is learning it as he plays through the motions.

But FZ was constantly rewriting his own music. Sometimes to fit a different ensemble, sometimes to fit different abilities. (Napoleon Murphy Brock, for example, was/is a great vocalist but only a competent R&B sax player, nowhere near Ian Underwood's high jazz/classical level.) So there really isn't any "definitive" version of many Zappa tunes at all.

It's great for Zappa's music to be presented by orchestras, but the musicians might actually play better together in the fast sections if the conductor used a supermetric pattern.
