The thing with Type O Negative, is that they did what they did, without excessive effort, and that was the beauty of it..Throw in excessive effort and it all goes away..The other thing was their uniqueness regardless the genre..So that makes them a very difficult band to cover..Untouchable to say the least..Sometimes it's better to let sleeping dogs lie..

i agree i'll never "like" a type o cover no matter how good it is no matter what band it is. I will say the song and video is produced very well but I'm not a fan of the female vocals and the song is cut short to me. The rest of the song is the best part, the guitar solo is absolutely beautiful. Good attempt good quality but it's a miss for me just like everybody else who tried to cover the God, we know as Peter steele it just doesn't work. I'm not trying to be rude or mean this is just my opinion.

Every time a new Type O cover comes out, I always give a listen no matter what. However, as some other viewer commented, they can be really hard to properly cover. The Type O Negative fan base has alot of hardcore, very dedicated fans, and many, many, many gatekeepers. To most of them, only the original is worthy. While I try to remain open, and don't consider myself a hardcore GK, I do have to say that this doesn't cut it unfortunately. But don't get me wrong, I don't consider it BAD per se, there is effort in there. The music itself is okay, but the video is...ehhh...how could I say...not the best match to the lyrics? And it also goes absolutely nowhere. However, I do want to thank you for your contribution to keeping TON's legacy alive.
