This is really an exclusive find, I think. Great job finding this; it must have taken some real detective work. Do you have any idea what kind of a tree this is (I couldn't tell by the leaves or bark) and how old it possibly is? Thanks for posting this!

I had heard that they filmed at Hatfield House so I thought it had to be one of the trees there - but funnily enough, not one of the more famous ones. The tree apparently was once called the "Elephant Oak". It was thanks to this post I was able to find it: www.flickr.com/photos/alex-david/49032515393
