As a person that plays dm without sound I can confirm Rito intentionally spawns players right behind me for a free knife kill
@nauqj2688
@nauqj2688 Жыл бұрын
that's actually true (i think), i came across a video showing that players in dm have a particular pattern that triggers the spawn, this isn't 100% certain but it's interesting, basically if u move in a certain way, an enemy will spawn behind you when you turn away after you go a specific path (or simply not looking at the spawn points)

@@nauqj2688 well yeah i thought everyone knew that? it's not just random lol. For example if you spawn right outside B main on fracture, 90% of the time there will be someone that's just about to peek from attacker's spawn, one tower/site, one gen. If there's no one spawn, then you can walk up main a little bit, wait a second, turn around and now they will be there
@nauqj2688
@nauqj2688 Жыл бұрын
@@snowpools8498 exactly, I've noticed it since the beginning (bc it's a lot more annoying compared to dm in csgo) although i haven't seen anyone confirms or even talks about it so i just forgot about it. if u managed to remember the spawn position and killed everyone you encounter, just by turning around, u can stack up 5-7 kills very quickly just from staying at one position, cause they keep spawning from behind. however, i honestly dont like this system, it's annoying to know for sure that u have cleared a specific angle, only to get killed from it right after because someone spawns while knowing where you are on the map. What i often try to do is treat my dms like its a real match. That means depending on whether i spawn on t or ct side i play execucte or retake towards the nearer site. This helps a lot to learn proper pathing and crosshair placement. Once im on site i act like im defending the site against the attackers.

I beg for all the videos like this you're willing to make. It's very entertaining to watch you display your skill, but you have a lot of knowledge to offer and the ability to convey it in a way that is very easy to understand. I worked my way to incredible raw aim, but I've recently been made aware of how much game knowledge I simply lacked. I went from silver 1 (with silver 2 peak) at the start of last act to plat 2 now and still comfortably climbing. Videos like this are what make that possible. Keep it up!

@Michael-yb7jh
@Michael-yb7jh Жыл бұрын
@SyenPie raw aim is rarely the problem. My raw aim is probably more in line with ascendants/immortals (I main Reyna) but I was lacking in other areas. If you aren't familiar with the idea of gunfight hygiene, you should check put Woohoojin. Bad movement is one of the biggest things that was holding me back, and it's easy to see going back. I played a game for my gf on her silver 3 account and dropped like 27-3, they were convinced I was like immortal 3. The reality is though, they were crouch spraying repeatedly and I was taking advantage of what are effectively free kills.
@Michael-yb7jh

@SyenPie big thing is, you have to lose the ego and admit that you have a lot to learn and improve on. If you play every game to improve and do everything you can to get better, you'll reach a point where bad teammates won't even be able to keep you in silver. For me, it was really just losing the ego and adopting an improvement mindset. Recognizing what I do well, and being honest with myself about what I could work on.

Those videos that say to use sheriff and guardian only gotta be the worst people ever. You explained it perfectly. I would get clean shots but I would always hesitate. Going in DM with phantom and practicing xhair placement has made me way better in terms of deciding whether to spray, tap, or burst. Also, I have my audio down but not completely off and it teaches me to react to noise but not rely on it entirely. Good point, especially that last one

I think it's wrong to think either of the creators are fully correct. What if you just wanted to purely get better at using sheriff? It's definitely a gun that is used in competitive play. I wouldn't cut this out as a complete waste of your time. It has a different movement speed than the vandal. Swinging and peeking is at a different tempo. I agree with royalG that sheriff is not always optimal if the GOAL is to improve first bullet accuracy. The way you play with a sheriff on a light buy round is different from how you should play a rifle buy round. Making aggressive peeks with a pistol is more difficult.

The only thing I actually hate about DM is the maps. I've never had a good DM in Fracture, I've tried to ignore what map I get but Fracture always makes me either unhappy or feel like the game is against me. Maybe it's because of how many long ''corridors'' the map has so there is usually someone shooting from the side or back, and that makes it unplayable in DM for me.

Like the material. About the last advice. For me it was easier to balance my attitude towards DM considering wining/practicing to set the goal to have 20-25 good duels/kills. And it's the minimum that I want to acomplish, instead of trying to rush for 40 which could be more sloppy. It also helps to deal with that "spawn spiral" when you got a serie of unlucky spawns from which you are shot in the back even before you can make first steps. The pressure is lower, so I can focus more on why I even started that DM.

Good things to concentrate on could be as simple as just trying to tap the heads with every bullet. Something I like doing too is focusing on peeking every angle with intent and in the right way. If you don't know what the right way to peek is, then watch some videos on it :D
@TheResidentevilfan99
@TheResidentevilfan99 Жыл бұрын
Comments above me are solid tips too. Putting your focus on something is the basic way to stop autopilot. Set a goal to improve on something before you go into each DM. Focus on that specific goal. When you think you have nothing to improve, you'll naturally autopilot because you have no goals. Also don't pay attention to the score because it's useless. It'll make your auto piloting worse. If I want to improve holding angles, I'll make sure to hold my spawn area as well as I can. Don't worry about finding no one because who cares? It's just a DM. You don't lose RR for getting 12th place. If I want to improve headshot rates and crosshair placement, I'll play sheriff only. Don't do guardian because it's easy to start spamming it for torso shots. If you use Guardian to outgun other rifles, then be conscious to hit only headshots, and not torso shots. Any kill you get without headshots is invalid.

You can play deathmatch with sound cue to simulate when you are on defense practice pre aim spots and let enemies engage on you. Play deathmatch with music or sound off when you want to simulate attack or when you want to engage fights, this way you can practice clearing corners first and being the first contact. If you only practice on waiting for engages or letting someone engage "baiting, not deathmatch related but in real match" then this might hinder you from further improving. This makes you a good two way player for both attack and defense.

These tips are underrated. I am the guy who uses audio to kill people holding a site. I don't camp but I stay on 1 site. But yeah now I must go with a specific purpose to train

You are right it's important to practice discipline with vandal 1 taps. I do it all the time practice 10dm sheriff guardian only I get my hands on a vandal in game and start spraying. Discipline is important when you have the choice to do otherwise, you are 100% correct on this mindset thing. The way I see it you learn the mechanics by using sheriff only and then you learn discipline by using vandal and practicing like it was a sheriff.

Can they just come out with TDM already or a retake/post plant simulator mode so I don’t have to get shot in the back
