The whole point of the head being on the inside is to prevent the tank from being punctured during a side collision. The proper way is to drop your tank to do the installation.

The bolt was installed head on the outside from the factory.

Is their a difference in ride quality with deaver HD and regular Deaver

As, for the ride, it feels great. Not too firm (for me) and great for the Cali **** roads. Less rear end wobble, a lot less, rear end would pivot over small bumps not any more stays planted. You'll really see them doing their job when off-roading. Best of all no more sag. The ride quality with these +4'sHD is definitely stiffer due their increased load capacity. For my needs I do not mind it at all.

Rims are Black Rhino Primm Beadlock Matte Gold w/ machined ring 17x8.5 with a 6x135 bolt pattern and 0 degree offset. Tires are just the factory BFgoodrich all terrain K02's (35's)
