USTM is Recognised by UGC, UGC is a statutory organization under the Ministry of Education, Government of India USTM Bill/Act is passed by Meghalaya Legislative Assembly for establishing the University And it's various courses like engineering, management, pharmacy, law , bed courses are approved by AICTE, PCI, BCI, NCTE respectively
