It’s so cool that we went from an academic paper about cannabis here and there for like 70 years to now with the ever growing flood of quality studies. I can’t imagine the flow will slow down anytime soon, it’s one of the most interesting and unique plants on the planet and we’ve just scratched the surface. I will say this though, the public should have unrestricted and free access to all scientific papers that are produced using government funding or produced at public universities.
@DeBaccoUniversity4 ай бұрын
This is what restricts some of the content, is the focus is on full text and publicly available papers. While every paper may not fall into this category, with the influx of papers in general there are enough to share on important topics.

2:04 photoperiod-sensitive plants can start off on 12-12 light. They will ignore the light condition (not building up flowering hormones) for about 3 weeks before the light schedule begins to take hold. Other than that, there is no minimum time to veg before flower - the bud on an immature plant won't out-grow the plant any more than a mature plant's bud would.
@DeBaccoUniversity4 ай бұрын
Why take the risk running a young plant in a 12-12 light cycle especially when the DLI will benefit from longer duration of light due to the reduced intensity?
@JesseJames834 ай бұрын
@@DeBaccoUniversity You can probably come up with your own but ones I can think of are that you're using the sea of green technique, you are pheno hunting, or you want to produce seed.

Very informative! Thank you for this video. I have a question. At the end of the video you mention the maturity of the tricome turning an amber color, is there any scientific research paper indicating that during this period of maturity THCA is being degraded into another compound causing a more "couch lock" effect and overall THCA is being reduced and diminished? Or do the compounds stay in tact and remain at full potency and that theory is "bro science"?
@DeBaccoUniversity4 ай бұрын
There can be a degradation of the molecules, but the effects those degraded compounds produce is open for debate, but is likely to cause reduced effects.

When you say "Cannabinoid Synthases have greater metabolic efficiency in hydrophobic environments compared to aqueous ones" Are you referring to hydroponics vs soil? Thnx
@DeBaccoUniversity4 ай бұрын
The hydrophobic environment is in the actual trichome structure that is lipid (fat/non-polar) based.

Leaves turn faster than the bud does. Look at the bud and you get 1 and if you look at the trikes on the leaves they are darker. I was always told to pull when the bud itself gets into the red not the leaves
@DeBaccoUniversity4 ай бұрын
This is a natural process, not sure what you are using for the due date, but speed of turning varies by variety.

Is it me or is the quality of cannabis aka the high disappearing? The reason I ask this is, I am a UK medical marijuana patient and some of the pictures I have seen of the crystals on the cannabis they supply definitely does not look like your video thumbnail? they don't even have the bubble on top? Like I've seen in every single book and magazine I've ever read? Is everything being cropped early to maximise profit? and what is going on with the explosion in hermaphrodite seeds? is that because of the stupid feminization you see everywhere?? I've heard American cannabis has a big problem with hermaphrodites?

Check and compare certificates of analysis to see what compounds are present and in what percentages or concentrations.
