I usually spray the badge out really good to free any dirt trapped there before using fishing string. I use soapy water to make the string not heat up the double sided tape.

What are you using to wire them off? Is it an extra strength fishing string? Or something just for this application?

CK I will pay you 2k to wrap my Escalade EXT. But, if the badges are old it takes a lot more to get the glue rubber off. The other gentleman in the comments, said to use soapy water so the string doesn't heat up. Because, if you don't it will smear make mess and takes some elbow grease and patience to remove. Never heat the rubber it will strip the clear coat. Ck goes H.A.M. the Greatest Wrapper Alive. Thanks for the video, brotha

It will strip the paint at that point, 99% is closer to paint thinner where as 70% is like nail removal ish
