How can you call Debaltsevo "success"? It was encirclement. many soldiers who survive that will tel you that officers ran away days before dropping their subordinates to their own devices ... and why they not admitting that separatists even allowed them to take rotations in airport thru their territory ?

It is obvious that HD footage was re-enactment - it is alright, this was used since the dawn of the cinema. But it would be nice if it was clearly stated to avoid confusion. There is real battle footage mixed with reenacted parts.

Marvellous documentary. Terrific defensive action and planned withdrawal by Ukraine. Top honours to the Army of Ukraine for standing up to the brutal moves of the Mad Dog in the Kremlin. Bad documentary. You dont get to understand from it what happenned. I mean encirclement of pocket position. Lack of operational leadership and decision avoidance(very late withdrawal), no forces to counterattack in spite of clear dangers . Better learn from those mistakes.

What's Intresting here is that in the title, he mentions "Artemovsk" (this was before the city's name was changed back to its original, pre-WW2 name, Bakhmut) but since he's Ukrainian and speaks Ukrainian, he pronounced it as Artemivsk. I guess even prior, the name was contentious. Glory to Ukraine.

All the cheerleaders of war here, you'll stop cheering until you have experienced death and destruction for yourself. I am former soldier. What one man can do to another. When I entered military service my country was already engaged in a war that was already at that stage dragging on for 15 years. Luckily it ended. 27 years ago people used to shoot and hate each other, now our former enemy is a popular 4x4 vehicle holiday destination. Many of us wondered why so many people had to die, for what ? Just to remind you, ordinary poeple does not want war, they just want to live in peace with neighbors. I read about a meeting between former jet fighter pilots, former enemies, the one got shot down by the other. This happened during the aformentioned conflict. One of the pilots specially travelled 1000's of kilometers to meet his former enemy, and they didn;t haste each other. I expect responding to my comment will have some sort of negative reply. My understanding is that UA is one of the most corrupt countries in the world, and they would be allowed to join the EU ?!! WTF?!! Have a listen to this conversation with a US Navy SEAL "The Logic of violence" soundcloud.com/samharrisorg/the-logic-of-violence-a-conversation-with-jocko-willink

Thank you. 100% agree with the corruption, and I have no dog in this fight, I question the validity of the current Ukraine government. I do NOT, however question these men in the belief in their country. I continue to shake my head in how the US continues to stick our beaks into lives of others that have no bearing in our national security. Free elections in Ukraine would sort this matter out rather quickly, one would think, I would feel much easier saying this if it was in 2016, however.
@markkoreeyvmarkko2 жыл бұрын
@@jimsilveira2344 You talk about free elections. You forget about Maidan. Civilian ukrainians fought started to protest when the president (the one that run away to Russia with a lot of gold and money) , said at the last moment he will not sign the treaty with UE. Ukraine wanted to join UE. So before they would have been accepted big changes had to be made. They have the right to be in the UE. It's the only country in Europe that FOUGHT and people died for this wish. You believe the story of a random dude , that doesn't tell you even in what conflict he was fighting. 😅😅 A dude that uses bad English language and said that his country was at war for 15 year's. 😅😅 But he doesn't say what country..like it's a secret. A war for 15 years is not a secret. He is not a soldier. He is just a dude talking bla bla bla. Of course soldiers don't want war. No normal people want war. Only the one that have a mental health problem. He said that soldiers don't hate. 😅😅 That's the biggest joke ever. Look at the videos from ILOVAISK , when the russians are torturing wounded ukrainin soldiers. Why ? Why they did that? Why they tortured ukrainian soldiers ? Because they loved them ? That's what this dude is saying. Yes ...a soldier will forgive but never forget. But after your friends are killed ..it takes a long time to forgive. It's not that easy. We are humans. Is someone harms your family ...this guy is saying that you will go have a beer with the attackers. Maybe you will ...after a long long long time ..who knows. Only you know.

@markkoreeyvmarkko2 жыл бұрын
@@jimsilveira2344 Yes. Ukraine has problems with corruption. All ex soviet countries have the same problem or had in the past this problem. The reason is not that people like to do this. In fact I'm from one of this countries. We HATE corruption. For us corruption kills. But this was the system in comunist times. This is how comunism worked and the reason URSS collapsed. Because the comunists would promote people not on their abilities but on propaganda , if they are party members. So think of this situation. A student finishes college...he is one of the best in his year. Let's say a engineer. If he is not a comunist party member or his parents , grandparents where " not good comunist people" he will not get the job he deserves. But the stupid one from college would get the job. This translated into society as follows. If you said a joke about the leaders or police stopped you because you are drunk and you disturb public order (you talk to loud) , then you have a report. That stupid report will affect your unborn son's future. Why ? He will not be accepted to college, he can't take a job based on his knowledge. So you bribe the police. Bribery was something like "normal". Doctor visit ? If you want the treatment ..well you give a present. Even if the doctor doesn't ask for it. Because you want to be shore that your family member will get the treatment and if the doctors see something like the state has to be involved ( for example abortion was ilegal even if the child would have been born with health problems ) , then just to be shore ....you give the doctor a present 🎁. It's wrong. It's not ok. We all know that. It was something that the communist regime had reached us. It's about survival. It got out of hand . But over the time this has reduced considerably. My country still has this problem. But it is becoming more at high level. That's why we have a special agency to fight coruption and bribery. We have a higher leaving standard. Education , jobs , opportunities ..all of this helped us to STOP corruption. It's not easy and it takes time. But it can be done. For my country the slogan " corruption kills" it's the most important thing. We teach each other and always keep an open eye. If we see it ..then we act on it. On legal ways. Sorry for the long comment. What I described was happening in Ukraine. They had the same problem. In 2014 -2015 they understood that this has to change and FAST. Thy started to form " civilians organizations" to find corrupt politicians and officials and to kick them out. Even kicking them out phisicaly. They take them from the office and throw them in the trash been. You can find videos of this. This was to send like a message. "We have our eyes on you. Do your job and nothing will happen. You are corrupt then we will come after you". But the past few days. Ukrainian people proved even to me ..that they will sacrifice everything for the things that they believe in. My country & Ukraine had some land to dispute. But we didn't get in a war . We solved one problem just in the international court and both countries agreed to that. NO WAR is needed. But now ...we even support more and more the ukrainian people. Why ? Because they fight for freedom. For us that is everything that matters. We know Russia. We know Putin. We prefer Ukraine as neighbor than Putin. We want good neighbors. Ukraine is a good neighbor to have. You know ..the one that says hello 👋 and doesn't want to intervine in your families and that you can be friends and call to visit to watch a football match.

@@jimsilveira2344"I have no dog in this fight" "I question the validity of the current Ukraine government." Then why don't you just shut the fuck up, eh? You clearly have no idea what this initial conflict was about and now you're spewing your intellectual vomit in this comment everywhere it doesn't belong. "Muh free elections" nobody here is fighting for democracy (or the government of Ukraine for that matter), Ukraine is fighting for its land, its people, and its culture against an invader which has brutalized it for decades, genocided its people several times, and then sent transplants into its Eastern flank to become a deadman's switch for whenever the people decided they wanted nothing to do with Russia anymore. Stop blaming US politics on a situation you don't even understand you dummy.

@romanstarodub19187 жыл бұрын
No real video from the battle. Very suspicion. All you hear is Ukrainian talking with no connection to a random video line. I can't recognize any troops or vehicles on the video. Looks like a propaganda with no facts. Debaltsevo is a complete failure of Ukrainian Army. No any movie can hide it. After this "success" Poroshenko was forced to sign Minsk agreements just to get out of the military failure. In addition, no any real prove of Russians on the battle field till these days.
@rascalndear6 жыл бұрын
Wow, your scripts are so well written and factual! PS Minsk was signed just before this battle began and the ceasefire was violated by Russia's proxies within hours. But those who fail to study history are doomed to repeat it endlessly. Pity the Russians.

Ukrainian soldiers fought alongside Russian soldiers in our war for independence. If anything we are grateful to both. I don't see how would anyone support a corrupt and authoritarian regime in Kiev and an authoritarian and corrupt rule in Moscow. So much bravery on both sides and it is a shame to waste it on a conflict like this, but then again history will remember the soldiers' bravery and judge the people responsible for fueling this travesty.

Then make a real and fair election, this whole shit started because of western back coup in kiev that change the legitimately elect government and just because these thugs git western government support, it doesn't mean that it is legal. People in eastern ukraine want a fair election, instead they get repress and arrested for a stupid reason like speaking Russian!. This war will over as soon as these western back thugs are gone from kiev.

sputniknews.com/europe/20150213/1018221522.html 1015884608 OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier said on Friday he saw Russian individuals, but not Russian army units, fighting in Ukraine’s eastern Donbas region. Lamberto Zannier also said that the OSCE monitoring activity in eastern Ukraine was being hampered by security concerns. On January 29, 2015. the chief of Ukraine’s General Military Staff Viktor Muzhenko acknowledged that Russian regular army units were not involved in combat action in the troubled Donetsk and Luhansk regions adding that he had information about Russian civilian and military individuals fighting alongside independence supporters in the country’s east. Since the start of the government forces’ military assault on eastern Ukraine’s independence supporters in April 2014, Kiev and the West have repeatedly accused Russia of intervening in the Ukrainian crisis. The accusations went as far as to claim that Moscow sent troops and weapons to help the independence militias. Nevertheless, the Kremlin has dismissed the claims as not corroborated by any evidence. Moscow does not deny, however, that some of its nationals are fighting in Donbas as volunteers.

They have BUKs, remember? yes, it's guerilla-style fighting because the Russian proxies like to stand outside (or even inside in some cases) residential buildings, fire shots or launch a missile, and then run away while the return fire hits the building and Ukraine is accused of killing civilians. LifeNews even had a video of this entire thing, that's how blatant Russia is. And the world hasn't begun to wake up properly yet.
@gordonthomson14277 жыл бұрын
And not a sign of the 1000s of Russian troops. Looks like the Russians have perfected stealth soldiers that can't be seen by the human eye. Watch KZbin video "Fear and Loathing in Debaltsevo" report by Steshin & Kots," for the real story.
