Ok I'm an 80s baby grew up on the debarges and this is one of my favorite songs of there's and of ballads too. It's clear it sounds different but it really sounds similar enough that I'm getting nostalgic feelings. This is song is so beautiful and simple and everyone can relate wether you're a man left assunder over a women or a woman over a man.

Wow, this is just overthe top! Israel gives me MJ and El Debarge vibes! The airyness of his voice is what makes it special. Ian is the "jack of all trades"! He can almost do everything. And the "control" of his voice is just overwhelming. Isaac is the "king of falsetto"! The high notes of this song perfectly fits his voice. This is an amazing trio. What makes them more special is they are reliving the 80s! Though im a 90s kid, i am stuck with the 80s. Wow Wow Wow guys....this was a beautiful cover. "Who's Holding Donna Now" is a 1985 hit single recorded by DeBarge for the Gordy label. It was their second consecutive Top 10 Pop hit in the U. S. after the release of "Rhythm of the Night". I was 12 years old in 1985 and remember listening to this jam on MTV via home TV cable. I have a special place in my heart for this song because I had a girlfriend in high school named Donna and although we broke up for stupid reasons I wish I could go back in time and remedy still today, we remained friends up till our graduation in 1991. Since graduating, I lost total contact with Donna and according to her longtime neighbor she and her parents moved out of California and back to Texas where her parents originally came from. Donna was my first girlfriend, my first true love...I loved her very much and even planned for her to be my future wife after college. Life doesn't always work out the way we plan and destiny obviously had other plans for both Donna and I. I've been happily married now for 25 years but deep in my heart I have always wondered what may have become of Donna and is she doing OK in life. This song makes me cry every time I listen to it so I try to avoid this song in front of my wife and kids. I must admit though, I have never forgotten Donna...and yes, after all these years, I would like to know WHO'S HOLDING DONNA NOW.
