Great content, I only tried using CO2 to cut acrylic, and never tried on vinyl or PVC. This video refreshes my view on laser cutting plastic.

Thanks! As long as you have proper ventilation system, including a fume extractor implemented, you should be good to go! You only tried using CO2 to cut acrylic? How did it go? Had any problems?

For real tho, laser cutting plastic can smell really bad at times, even with a ventilator and a mask the smell is really clinging to me. And after some sections working with plastic, it felt like everything around me is rotting. Great video, lots of information I'm look for is packed into 6 minutes, which is short and efficient. Looking forward for more great contents like this!

Nice video! Do you please know if AtomStack or other is good for cutting ABS plastic and what model? Is there a printer to print white text on ABS plastic and both laser cutting? Thank you.

AtomStack only makes hobby laser. For plastic cutting, I'd suggest a industiral laser manufactuer like us or other suppliers.

Hi, can I use a fiber laser cutting machine to cut plastic? Our machine is for metal, but if I change the parameters I could use it to cut plastic?
@MimoWorkLaser7 ай бұрын
We don't suggest cutting plastic using a fiber laser cause plastic has a low absorption of fiber laser. In general, the CO2 laser is better for cutting plastic.

Acrylic smells really bad, but that is what an exhaust fan is for.
@MimoWorkLaser Жыл бұрын
Yes, especially if you are using an additional fume extractor, activated charcoal can absorb these flavors. Are using currently making acrylic products?
@ericthehalfmexican9187 Жыл бұрын
@@MimoWorkLaser Yes. I looked into fume extractors and they cost way too much just for the equipment. Also, the activated carbon was way too much. It was $300-500 USD every 3 months. It’s much cheaper just to exhaust outdoors and bring 50-75% make-up air (outside air) blown into the laser enclosure to reduce the load on the HVAC inside.

@@ericthehalfmexican9187 Have you known the industrial pulse dust collector? It's more cost-effective. By the way, on the subject of working acrylic, have you tried applying masking tape before engraving for a better result? We had a video about that: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aZ6ke3add6ibn7s 😀Can you share with us some tips about laser working on acrylic?

You just remind me to add chapters for the video thank you, although I'm a litter upset when seeing this comment below the carefully made video.
