I am 77 years old. In 2002 I was 55 years old. I always had the thought since 2002, why is the Indian media ( and the world media) highlighting that Hindu majority Gujarat people and govt under Modiji then was squarely blamed for the riots in which hundreds perished. I also know from the time of the riots that the igniting incident was Sabarmati express burning. Even at the height of the riots I used to think WHY THE HELL THE GUJARAT GOVT DID NOT ADEQUATELY EXPLAIN THEN HOW THE RIOTS GOT STARTED. There was insufficient clarification then to tell the world what really happened. I blame the govt then for their failure to timely counter the false narrative of the Muslim mobs. Just like saying Israel-Hamas war started BY Israel when Israel started to defend themselves, NOT WHEN HAMAS STARTED THE WAR EARLIER ON 7 OCT 2023.
